  1. The whole point is that there are some pretty big leaps of logic with the whole situation. Why would Oswald wait for the harder shot instead of shooting as they came upon him just in case he missed he would be able to recover. The shots he took were the most difficult given the position that he was in. Add in the fact that the shots themselves were expert level marksmanship and being able to make 3 shots in the short time window is still difficult now, to the point where it couldn't be duplicated at first. Then with all this difficulty, the 3rd shot was the "bullseye" (not trying to be insensitive with that comment). Then you have the horrible mistakes made by the doctors & coroners, the secret service plans that day, political environment and Oswald himself not claiming innocence but calling himself a patsy just gives more fuel to the fire and where there is smoke.... Obviously could be all a coincidence and all lined up and aukums (sp?) razor and all but it definitely lends more credence to something nefarious then most tragedies. Definitely not as simple as described
  2. Thurmond is not suspended for PED. Banned substance not led related. Rumor is marajuana or pain meds
  3. Being in hotel business leads to meeting a fair amount of celebs but the best experience was while working at Caesar's Tahoe in 97. We were the host property for all the celebs from the golf tournament that now is actually televised around 4th of July. Anywho, I was working the overnight shift and managing limo departures when Pete Rose came down. He was an hour early for departure and we just sat in the lobby talking baseball while waiting. Really a nice guy with a ton of knowledge. Just a cool expereince
  4. Nonsense. Somehow smart people are getting in their own way. It is a fact that players with a higher Q rating make a bigger impact on a team then someone who doesn't. as for Peyton Manning's Q score not impacting the building of a new stadium, you can't honestly believe that people said yes to fund the stadium simply because of the on the field play
  5. To simplify the point - Likability by a general populous can create more revenue for player and team and therefore adds value that can be quantified as "off-field" contributions. Example most recently -Peyton Manning. Likable by general populous contributed to new stadium being built. Obviously on field play contributed as well but you cannot discount the effect his Q rating had on the Colts being relevant nationally.
  6. I'm there next week. Hope to get to Fri night game for my son's first live sporting event (he is 3)
  7. I was at the game. Grienke was filthy but clearly gassed in the 8th. Having Arrieta hit with 1 out in the 5th was dumb. He wasnt sharp all night and fighting it. Should have been pulled then, instead gives up 2 more and then leaves. Pretty noisy and involved crowd for the most part. Hanley's HR didnt seem as well hit as it ended up but Puig's was a bomb. Have no idea how he got to that pitch (low and away) and neither did Bowden
  8. And let's not forget the Dodger fans who put the Giants fan into a coma. I saw a Dodger fan taunt and throw his beer at a 5-year old Cub fan during game 3. They God they usually leave early. I am only going to the 8/26 game this year and I have a luxury suite setup so at least the meatballs will be minimized. Instead I get to deal with slimy lawyers and business people thinking they are knowledgeable. Anyone know how nice the boxes are at Dodger stadium? I have suite 206
  9. Which one? seahawks.net. They cried all game long about how the refs were jobbing them, how the refs are out to get the seahawks, how the NFL overall is out to get them. Ugh. Yeah, member there but dont visit much anymore. Ever since Superbowl XL that is the rally cry there.
  10. Name one. oldie but Steve Largent. To be clear not talking just about Seahawks and their lack of media exposure.
  11. Okay resident Seahawk fan back for more punishment. Nothing good ever comes from going to Chicago for the Seahawks and based on the 4th quarter in Miami this past week, the Bears should be favored by 7 at least. For those betting, take the 3.5 now before it gets upped. That would be the lock of the season. The Seahawks OLine is in just as bad shape and have 2 players in top five penalties. Lynch has had 2 subpar games and the D-Line that looked great in the 1st half of the dreaded Packer game hasnt been the same since. Anyhow, enough of my negativity and doom & gloom. Russell Wilson has had a great 6 games. 1st rookie ever to post 3 straight 125 plus rating games and he is finally getting the chance to develop chemistry with Rice & Tate. Backup RB Turbin is looking solid as 3rd down back and pass cathing threat. Miller is finally back in play as a TE and Robinson is the best FB in the league. Bobby Wagner is playing out of his mind and Earl Thomas seems to have woken up (the phantom roughing the passer last week seems to have fired up the D too). If Browner & Sherman are gone, and old Trufant and a 3rd game back but solid Walter Thurmond are the starters. Not great but still manageable. No depth there though anymore. Definitely a story to watch closely. The Seahawks do not play well on the road and are horrible at Soldier Field. However, perhaps the letdown in Miami was one of them looking ahead to this game, who knows. Hopefully it will be a good game to watch. As a side note, I read the 1st 5 pages before posting and saw the Allen hit on Louis. Is that where the injury happened? The play looks awfully similar to the Golden Tate hit that he was fined for earlier this year. Launching at a player but not helmet to helmet. Am I wrong with that perception, not seeing any other angles of this hit? Also, from a far, I agree with the comments on Cutler not getting any positive national attention. A shame considering how good he is. I can relate to the misery as a west coast person my whole life, many of the stars out here are left with the same treatment, simply based on ignorance.
  12. Why are you guys such a holes? Seriously I respond to a post and miss read what the other guy posted and I get ridiculed for no reason. Does it make you feel good to try and tear people you don't know down? Try being nice for a change. Perhaps you can feel better about yourself than you do now. Or better yet, maybe you should try being angry with yourself, the real person you are upset with. Maybe you will have a better than the horrible life you have now
  13. Pittsburgh, Cincy, Indy all lost. If New England loses to Seattle and San Diego loses to Denver, only Baltimore and Houston will be over .500. and Seattle in that scenario
  14. Man, you really do excuse everything Seahawks. I mean, I've spent the morning arguing this was at least an somewhat defensible call, but the Tate PI was blatant and obvious. Please re-read what you have quoted. I am clearly stating Tate should have been called for PI. I am merely pointing out something that is overlooked in that argument about defensive PI that no one mentions. In no way am I excusing the Seahawks. I am just tired of both bad calls being lumped together like it made it double bad
  15. Okay i am tired of the Tate PI bluster. It is making him look like a cheap shot player and with many pundits it is making Tate be the bad guy. Clearly he pushed shields but what noone else is mentioning is the other 2 packers that are manhandling the other Seahawks reciever just as blantantly pass interference. And seriously, how can there not be pass interference on a hail mary with everyone doing what they can for the ball. If they blew the Tate offensive PI then they blew the packers PI on Martin. If they had called both would offsetting penalities end the game or would there be a final play?
  16. Imagine if these 2 play again in the playoffs
  17. i had forgotten how much of a homer you are from back in 2006 Lucky enuff that I never forgot how much of a JackA** you always are. Next time watch Russell Wilson before making dumb remarks and also read this thread where I am being fair to what happened despite the ludicrious of the game. I'm not gonna call you a homer, and I've always respected your Seattle fandom, but I have not seen/heard one person besides the officials say that its a Seattle TD. But then again, I've only heard the opinions of the Packers radio network and and the MNF crew. mhuber is the coolest We all want to grow up to be you sir. Too bad we all did grow up though instead of living like a 13 year old little boy
  18. Sorry forgot to note that it was a guess as to the reason. In all honesty I was trying to present something that could be. A homer would have been Expletive this and that with jibberish everywhere. Sorry to be so succient and logical I would have loved to hear the Packers radio and Seattle Radio calls. Unfortuantely, I have the game on mute because my son is asleep in the other room and if you can believe it, I kept it quiet when they called it a TD. Score some Dad points there! :)

  20. Tate's hand on the ball is between the ball and the chest. Thats why it is a TD
  21. Whomever loses will feel screwed, a win from my point of view would feel cheap. This game sucks. Agreed which sucks cause seattle is never on primetime!
  22. Yes he is. You just cant tell because Seattle doesn't let him try to win a game. Lynch always
  23. I like Gruden's comment. "its all about self control. I used to not have any and I am about to jump out of this press box"
  24. Wow, even though I am a Seattle fan, I can't see that PI call either. Only possibility is the ref thought Rice's hand was being held down. GB turns their gifts into a touchdown, Can Seattle? Good tackle on the slant.
