I have been an optimist from the start here. Still feeling really good about landing Sasaki. -
I'll catch some heat for this and I don't know if its the glove or lack of positional versatility but I have never been able to fully fall in love with Seiya as a player.

FWIW, an email was sent out to STHs offering them a chance to purchase their seats which will be removed this off-season. More Wrigley renovations means more shopping from the bargain bin.

This was expected, but Bedard breaking his stick out of frustration last night sure seemed like the final straw. Luke is by all accounts a tremendous guy and I hope he finds success in his next head coach job.

I have been as big a supporter of Assad as anyone on this forum`, but you absolutely cannot go into 2025 with Assad as a regular in this rotation. The Cubs can do better than that. Long relief/spot starter, yea, I can get behind that. The peripherals on Assad suggest using him as a regular in the rotation is going to eventually crash and burn.

Bedard is fine. His lack of production speaks to other glaring issues like coaching and lack of offensive talent up and down the roster. It certainly isn't for lack of effort or his individual talent.

Why he is still handcuffed to Kurashev is beyond me. It's infuriating how many times he fails to win a puck battle. Donato's goal scoring pace will slow down, but at least he can grind it along the boards. Hall is the only one who hasn't skated with Bedard yet this season and I'm still miffed as to why he was a healthy scratch last night. The Hawks were out skated and out muscled all night. Seems we could've used a big body that can skate!

Haven't been able to tune in much lately but Reichel has been pretty good early on.

Women's boxing is being slept on. All the top fighters want all the smoke with each other. Taylor/Serrano was a banger tonight and Ryan/Mayer back in September was a great fight too.
