  1. Dodgers are going to be 5-10 in their last 15 games, and lose the season series tiebreaker with Milwaukee. They have a 3 game set in Atlanta a week from now, and a 3 game series vs San Diego in the last week of the season. Other than that, they don't have a series left against playoff teams. Also, Kyle Tucker is like 5 for his last 53 inside Dodger Stadium.
  2. Also, Suzuki has 2 strikeouts vs Dobbins, and Miguel swung and missed on a slider down the middle, which should be put in the bleachers in left. I know pitching and defense has been bad, but let's not sit here and think the offense has been tough to watch so far. Conforto hit a popped up on ball 4 as well.
  3. ESPN missed a pitch in the Triantos at-bat and got the count wrong in the Conforto at-bat.
  4. It's just common sense. He has to create a strikeout pitch in some capacity. Also, having a 97-98 MPH, with a 95 Sinker and/or changeup, and a 90 MPH Slider is a terrible mix from a velocity standpoint.
  5. I'd figure yesterday's game was going to be the "let so and so pitch, and then DFA him today for Cabrera." We've done that in the past, and the Nationals did that earlier this week with Mikolas. When I saw yesterday's box score, I was confused on who would be option/DFA for Cabrera, but I was surprised it was Assad even with the options.
  6. It's been a weird game. Nationals have played good defense so far, and have been lucky on the offensive side. I don't think Peterson pitched that bad.
  7. I wonder if the guy in the Hawaiian shirt is going to ask the girl to his left for her phone number....
  8. Yeah, I forgot about the strikeout
  9. I got off work and ventured over to Covenant Health Park to watch the Knoxville (still call them Tennessee) Smokies. I watched Cabrera pitched. What I didn't know was that Daniel Palencia also pitched in the game. First for Cabrera: I thought he looked great, fastball touched 98 MPH with consistent 96-97. Didn't walk much, I think just 1 batter. Struck out around 6 batters I believe. He pitched 5 innings and threw 63 pitches in those 5. He didn't allow a hit, and the contact wasn't much in terms of hard hit. Cabrera looked good, and I won't be surprised if he is on the team by the end of next week. Maybe 1 more start. For Palencia. He looked rough. He threw about 20-22 pitches. Only recorded 1 out and that was on first 2 pitches of his .1 inning. He walked 3 batters, and he hit 1 batter near the bicep/tricep area and that was at 99 MPH. I do want to note that I believe Knoxville's radar gun doesn't hit 100+ MPH, so don't know exactly how much pitches was actually triple digits. Regardless, Palencia looked rough. Walked way too much and just not competitive in the zone. I don't know where he is at when it comes to the rehab part, but I positive he got some more time in the rehab process in the minors.
  10. Don't know if that sweeper/slider for a ball is "obvious" Yes, it was a ball, but it was coming back to the plate, so I don't know if it would have been obvious in PCA's POV.
  11. Berry just got bailed out. Just totally stupid and embarrassing.
  12. Taylor bolster the defense with Suzuki likely coming out in late game scenarios.
  13. You're right. He struck out on a pitch clock violation the other night.
  14. Worth mentioning that Ed Howard isn't in the lineup in Knoxville today.
  15. I'm glad that people like you think the way MLB is operating is okay because Toronto "should have" beaten the Dodgers. It doesn't matter. Brewers had a great season last year, and the Dodgers embarrassed them in the NLCS. The Dodgers don't even have to pitch Snell and Glasnow. As long as they're ready for October, who cares. Did Toronto played great in the WS in October? Yes, but even they played great, and the Dodgers, to me didn't play that well at all, still wasn't enough.
  16. Was Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter getting paid $2 Million dollars in salary so they can use that money and spend it on other players?
  17. Good point. Skubal was traded over, and he's a rental so it won't cost much. Other than Tommy Edman, I'm not sure if they traded for one player on their roster.
  18. I believe if I am a Tigers fan, I'll be pissed off, too. If all they're going to get is a 27/28 year old and the top 25 prospect in the MLB pipeline, I bet they'd rather just keep him and try to offer him a crap ton in the offseason.
  19. I get that, but I also want teams to feel like they have a chance to win a World Series, even to include the Cubs biggest rival (currently). No one is going to feel like they have a chance to win the World Series. Now, I don't know what Tampa Bay's offer (if they offered) was going to be, but we're about to have a boring postseason play. For the baseball fan, that's going to suck.
  20. I would be more pissed at the Brewers than Rays. Brewers would actually have an advantage in the starting pitching in the NLCS over the Dodgers if they made that deal with Skubal.
  21. Should've been worried the start of last season.
  22. The Angels broadcast is slamming the rest of the MLB, claiming that other organizations could've got him, but just let the Dodgers get him.
  23. Mark Feinsand said the deal is done.
