    Scully rules. I recognize snippets of stories from tons of different sources. He must have read fifteen papers and magazines a day for years. I can't imagine doing that without the internet. Maddux pitched an amazing game. Let's hope it's the 85th best pitched Cubs game of the season!

    Bruce, how much easier is it when the team you're following is winning? Do the players and personnel give you more access when they are in a better mood?

    I would have liked Maddux getting the complete game but my fantasy team needs saves. I'm glad Maddux is on my team too!

    Maddux got nailed his first stint on the Cubs. I remember he had stitch shaped bruises on his forehead for days. By the way, that last pitch for his 6th K was absolutely perfect. An speedy ghost couldn't have ran it in there any better.

    Greg Maddux is the only pitcher I have ever gotten a video game perfect game with. It was MVP Baseball. I remember like it was yesterday.

    Jacque Jones better catch fire when it warms up or he'll get leave Wrigley at the trading deadline riding a wave of boos. By warm up, I mean hit .225.

    Maddux has the lowest ERA in the NL. I haven't seen him look this good in a Cubs uniform in 15 years.

    You're cutting it pretty close. I didn't use to be superstitious but I've seen the jinx work way too many times for it to be random chance.

    It's amazing how quick the time between innings go when there are no commercials.

    Ronny strikes me as a professional hitter. He'll never put up Tejada numbers but I could easily see him raking in a .280 career average.

    I think Payton used to run up hills carrying a railroad tie or something like that. Greg Maddux must be meeting Mike Harkey after the game for an M.C. Hammer concert.

    I'm going to tell my kids about the glory of Greg Maddux someday. I just need to get some first.

    I want to go on Greg Maddux's workout program. He must have found Walter Payton's old schedule.

    I'm really starting to like this lineup. The only spots that shouts for an upgrade is RF and at least Jones plays good D and hits with moderate power.
