    I hope you are being facetious because there is no way in heck the Marlins do that trade. You're right. Let's have the Marlins toss in Josh Willingham to be our backup catcher.

    That supports my hypothesis that bad pitchers pitch poorly. He used to be an elite prospect though.

    The runs are unearned due to a Cedeno error. Is it me or will our Iowa lineup look very similar to any 2006 lineup after May 1st?

    I look at Cotts as a reliever or a guaranteed 5.00 ERA starter. That's a huge improvement over the 7s and 9s we saw last year.

    There was someone who logged on during every game saying, "It's a trap!" Never more, never less. Right after the Bartman/Gonzo incident, there was a Star Wars video game commercial starring Admiral Ackbar. It was the first time I saw the commercial. Actually, it was the first time I saw him in anything new since 1983. I almost cried in the Irish bar.

    Novoa and Rapada are both headed to the minors. It seems that Novoa will get sent down because our bullpen is better, not because he is worse.

ETA: 12 x 162 = how many runs cubs are on pace for = 1944 Radarluv1 hoped for an offense half as good. :oops: well then you were right on the money!!! I'm sure that people will bring this up every day for the rest of the season. Does anyone remember Admiral Ackbar on the Baseball Think Factory in 2003?

    The left fielder knocked himself unconscious for a good three minutes. He woke up and threw to third and just missed a sliding Aramis. That said, I'd rather have a slow guy with a .900 OPS than a .650 guy who steals 50 bases.

    I love baseball because it's very humbling. You can study literally thousands of players and have no idea who Goleski is.

    I root for Jacque after reading Fantasyland by Sam Walker. He knows he has holes in his game. No one cares more about fixing his problems than him. That helps explain the power surge at a late age.

    That must have been an inside the park triple, with his speed. Imagine how much better A-Ram's slugging % would be if he had average speed? I'll take the present version though.
