    The Cubs could have drafted Matt Harvey instead of Hayden Simpson. Then again, that's a difference of over $1 million. Can't complain about Soler, Almora and Baez.

    Three years of collegiate playing is far worse developmentally than the minors. The college coaches have pressure to win now that sometimes trumps the long-term health of their players.

    Michael Bourn is really good If a guy ends up becoming another Micael Bourn, that's fine, but if we're talking the ceiling for a 5 tool top 10 pick, shouldn't we be aiming a touch higher? Say Shane Victorino, Austin Jackson or even vintage Grady Sizemore? Michael Bourn has been worth 4+ wins (almost 5 in two of them) the last 3 seasons and this year is already at 3.1 If Almora has Bourn's career that would make him one of the best #6 overall picks of all time.
