  1. he's not gonna go 4-4 or even 2-4 every game. He's had a hard time with Willis, who he's never hit against. Crap happens. The Cubs are winning. No need to bitch on this fine evening.
  2. Guys and gals, this is too easy. Rusch is due a good start. Maddux is due a bad one.
  3. I bet my parents are about to piss their pants they're so happy! They are sitting behind the Cub bullpen tonite.
  4. cubs lead the NL in hitting with runners in scoring position? well I'll be a monkey's uncle!
  5. woo hoo we struck out some marlins we're gonna win the AAA title this year!!!!!!!
  6. Eric Reed is from where I live. . . .Monticello, AR. For these three games I wished he'd start sucking.
  7. damn, is sutcliffe that dumb? Go down on that throw?
  8. if he'll throw a strike, neifi will gdp
  9. My 2006 MVP '05 Cubs had a lot of problems with the Marlins. I'm sure that makes everyone feel better.
  10. '03 NLCS recap? What's that? WHY??????????????????? WHY????????????????????
  11. I can only assume the cubs have played 41 games on ESPN since 03
  12. I'm a cub fan that doesn't hate Larussa. Heck, I kinda like what he was trying to do wth Maddux. He was just trying to get into his head. Maddux probably took it as a compliment. In the book, "Three Nights in August" it speaks about LaRussa arguing balls and strikes (against maddux and the cubs) to the point of intentionally getting tossed just so he could get the ump to think a little more about calling that wide strike. Did it work? Who really knows. That particular game, the Cards kept their heads above water and beat the Cub bullpen. Again, I'd say it's just LaRussa trying to rattle our guy. No big deal.
  13. If Pierre is what the Cubs need, which I think he is; I don't see any correlation between Pierre and Pie (other than CF). If Pie is the all-world player that he's put up to be, playing RF might be okay for him. I contend that with Jones, we have a guy who we can conceivably get rid of via trade (if needed). His contract is not so outrageous that if a deal is close, we could eat some contract. It's already been established that Pie is not a lead off hitter, so if Pierre leaves and Pie is called up as a replacement, who is a likely lead off candidate? Sadly it is Pie and we're looking another CPatt situation square in the eye.
  14. HA HA! The Cubs offense doesn't suck.
  15. i'll bet ya dollar to a donut that they sure as hades ain't trying to walk jacques jones.
  16. Funny, but according to baseball-reference, the Sarge is the most similar batter to Dusty and vice versa.
  17. DLee would have hit a 6 run homer there. I'm just sayin. . . .
  18. Joe Morgan would say "Back when I was with the Big Red Machine. . . . ."
  19. I think he needs the Bonds treatment. cream or clear? So when does the "will pujols break the HR record" talk begin?
  20. Pitching, pitching, pitching. The magic number, with or without Dlee, is 3. We hold the opposition to 3 runs, we'll win most of those games.
  21. inconclusive = the injury will not be overturned. The cubs will be charged a Time Out.
