    How the hell do you miss a simple pop up? Lou should have pulled him. A play like that shows that Soriano's head is too far up his butt for him to care about what's going on on the field. Yank him, embarrass him, and see if it gets his attention.

    Brenly was talking about Kosuke talking with Lou about working on his swing, too. Apparently he shortened up his stride, but that one looked like Kosuke had a long stride. The stride looked long still, but his step seemed to be quicker. I think the key was that he didn't bail out.

    Jesus, people. It's Ryne Theriot. He's not going to lead the league in doubles, triples, or homers. He's not going to lead in run production. That's not his game. He's performing at peak level right now --- kudos to the guy. He's a good ballplayer.

    One time I was on jury dury during an incest / rape case. The chick on the stand said the guy touched her "vergina." I laughed out loud from the jury box. It was funny. . . . . VERGINA!!!!! (vur-jen-uh) We gave the guy the maximum penalty allowed by law, by the way.

    But it's not just one game. The offense does this a lot. Unpossible --- they aren't head and shoulders ahead of the rest of the NL by doing this alot. Poop happens.

    Don't be afraid to play. Most golfers are bad. A good percentage talk a fantastic game, but when it gets down to it, very few are that good. Some days are better than others, however :D

    That's what I was thinking as well, but how often does a guy that hits 6th or 7th lead his team in runs? It's just another product of an incredibly balanced offense. Many times a guy will lead the team in runs and ABs (Juan Pierre, hello!). DeRo is 6th on the club in AB's. I browse the team and individual stats every day and I'm continually amazed at how close to "average" the entire starting lineup is. If any one player is "carrying" the offense, it's Zambrano :wink:

    Wow -- I was surprised to see DeRosa as the team leader in runs. He's been towards the bottom of the order all year and has quietly put up a super year. He's on pace for 105 runs, 19 homers, 94 RBI, and an .837 OPS. I love this guy!

    Im equally intrigued to see what Edmonds could do at cleanup. I agree. Father Time's .976 OPS since joining the club is screaming to be moved up.

    When the season started, I paid 40 bucks a pop for left field seats. We couldn't make it, so I sold them on ebay. . . . for 12 bucks a pop. Those are the breaks.

    Well we did lose head-to-head with the Rays, and I don't know if I want to face Anaheim. Let's just take care of the NL. I'd love to face either of them. . . World Series bound!

    That guy is really going out on a limb. At this point, no team is all that close to the Cubs. You can easily argue they are the best team in the majors.
