    In addition, Bote is a reverse split guy too based on his numbers in the majors (86 RC LHP vs 94 RC RHP - Wisdom is 119 RC LHP). The main idea on keeping Wisdom (or Cooper) is using him as a platoon option to keep the pressure off Busch and others. I’d trade Bote for just about anything to get his salary off the books.

    Hamstrings tend to be reoccurring, so he needs to take his time to get fully healthy. That probably helps Canario’s chances.

    Yeah, when he's coming in throwing 98 mph and locating it's not hard to see why people were so high on him back in the day.

    Supporting traitors isn’t political… If you’re gonna be traitorous keep that to yourself. It should be a dirty secret. It’s weird to normalize this type of conduct. I’m saying this as a fiscal conservative. When someone makes fun of a terrorist it’s something we should all be able to collectively join in on.

    I’d guess at this point Wisdom probably has a leg up on being the starting 1B over Mervis, until Mervis proves otherwise. I like Wisdom, but he should not be in contention for starting at first.

    With Ohtani finally signing it's time to focus on Yamamoto and Sasaki (if he gets posted). Apparently Sasaki just recently requested to be posted and is believed to have a posting opt out in his contract, and since he's younger than 25 (23) any team that signs him would be paying him the MLB minimum. That would be an enormous low blow if he gets posted the Dodgers get him too on a minimum deal... Glad to see the Dodgers had to shell out crazy to afford Ohtani at least. Hope it puts some serious constraints on them going forward with FA signings.

    That would be cool if we could sign the best Japanese players and develop a reputation for helping ease the transition for Japanese players coming over to hopefully team friendly deals.
