    When Alex Cohen asked Sut if he could repeat any stories about what he was told on mound during his playing days, I audibly said “don’t do it”. 😞 I will always say Sut comes across really well, seems like a good dude. But he’s not a dude that I can say I could listen to him read the phone book.

    I reckon it has more to do with Marquee giving everyone on their roster a go rather the announcers themselves. Before Marquee, we had Ken and JD consistently for 162 (outside of illness of course), now with Marquee there are multiple people doing the same jobs. Boog, JD and T-Mac are the main ones, but then they will get replaced for days and sometimes a week at a time with Cohen/Sut/Demp/Floyd/Elyse/Lance etc. It gets annoying because as fans the main people will always sound the best.

    Cohen and Sutcliffe get crapped on, but at least they are better at their job than this loser on the mound.

    I must have been watching Phil Maton through my hands this year in every appearance since I just realised he wears number 88.

    Wow. That was nice.

    Kind of wild just how good this infield is with Bregman, Hoerner, Swanson and Busch. And that’s before we get to the outfield. Seiya is the weak link, and he’s probably improved enough that his position isn’t a black hole at RF. Not sure where the entire defense ranks all time, but it’s the best in baseball right now.

    Did Marquee think we all had too much of a good time seeing the 2016 squad throughout the broadcast yesterday that they’ve given us Cohen and Dempster today?

    The USA love producing a 3rd/4th place match thumping. Sweden led Bulgaria 4-0 at halftime in 1994.

    He went 7-43 leading up to the all star break and 6-8 yesterday and today. Hopefully he’s turned corner.

    Watching this today, a lot of the 2016 squad was just a really good group of guys (Rizzo, J-Hay, Fowler, Ross, Arrieta, Lester etc). Good dudes, all of them. And then Joe Maddon shows up. Always have to smile seeing him.

    Looks like a bit of a hard-ish schedule in March/April before becoming soft-ish in May. I expect to be 0-0 for the majority of it.
