  1. Between Boog starting stories and Sutcliffe finishing them and the 31st “PCA played at Dodger Stadium and here is a cute photo of him with Nomar” story, can we please get JD back soon?
  2. Imanaga vs Yamamoto and Ohtani is going to be fun.
  3. Surely it’s not a team directive that ball boy/chair dude literally goes sprinting in the path of the RF’er. Imagine crashing into Mookie Betts. 😂
  4. I’m shocked that Willie Harris didn’t go with his usual “horsefeathers it, this will be pretty close-ish” send.
  5. The forum should horsefeathers the bed every day if it means the Cubs are going to play like this.
  6. Ian Happ took that catch and crashed into the wall like a boss. Great play.
  7. The game has been on in the background so not really paying attention to the broadcast, look up just now and it’s Boog and Joe Girardi in the booth. So I guess JD won’t be around for the next week, and when he returns, Boog will take his holiday. I miss WGN.
  8. The 9th inning went the same way as the previous 8 innings.
  9. Oh good, we are saved. Paredes is up.
  10. Things that I am not surprised about: Anthony Rizzo is still a really good dude and always will be.
  11. To think that this years White Sox are so much crapper than last years A’s. A’s started 2023 with a 10-45 record (tying two other clubs for the worst first 55 game start in MLB history) and a 21-61 first half record, on track to be worse than the 1962 Mets. Did not even come close to that record in the end. Today the White Sox are 32-109. On track to finish with the worse record in MLB history, unless they somehow win 9 games from their final 16.
  12. First Cubs no hitter at WF since 1972. Was not expecting that one.
  13. Last Cubs no hitter was the combined variety.
  14. Craig Counsell’s pre-game pep talk: “Get back to the team that scored 99 runs in 10 games ffs!” ”Okay gaffer.”
  15. No. Nope. Not getting my hopes up. Never again. I don’t care. He will end up on the Dodgers or Yankees…. or Seattle. Anywhere but with this club.
  16. Just need that one day from someone who is seeing it well. Rafael Ortega was the last Cubs to do it. He had 330 PA’s that year and hit 11 home runs, so a bit of an anomaly of a game. If I had to guess one current Cub hitter to do it. Probably Ian Happ. Against the Pirates (or any NL Central team), because that makes the most sense lol.
  17. Even accidentally, a team couldn’t replicate 31-109. 😂
  18. Probably not like this. Today was his second 3HR game in a month.
  19. It fascinates me that we are in September and the higher ups still see Kyle Hendricks as the 2016 version and not Temu Kyle Hendricks, which is what he has been for a long time. As much as we have fans saying “give him one start as a final goodbye”, we are so far into the year that he will make the rest of his starts. Such a weird year this has been.
  20. Who are the Ricketts not going to spend money on?
  21. Good to see after the highs of 9-1, 99 runs in 10 games and getting back into the wildcard race. They are about to lose a series against the Pirates, right before they are due to face the Yankees. Baseball is such a stupid sport.
