Story is that he’s on a $2 million a year salary and $68 million a year is deferred between 2034-2043. If that’s the case, it tells me one thing. Shohei Ohtani is the nicest athlete in the world and he’s rich as horsefeathers.

Shohei Ohtani doesn’t make any sense. Dude was a two way player in Japan, so coming over as that but often you’d hear “two way player” and think that one of those skills are far ahead of the other and that’s fine. But Shohei is genuinely elite at both. Like club ace and best hitter in baseball territory. Crazy.

75-70 on the year. The offense has been on a tear for weeks and have gone gone 3-2 over the Yankees and Dodgers the last 5 games. If only Alzolay didn’t blow a stupid amount of saves early in the season, Neris wasn’t the closer for way too long and Kyle Hendricks hasn’t someho been given 21 starts this year…
