The Braves are the model for how a team should be run. They seem to have a constant pipeline of home-grown talent coming in. They somehow manage to keep their stars on ridiculously team friendly deals.
I recall he spent some time with the Dodgers after the Marlins. My only real memory of Choi as a Cub was the collision on the in field when he hit the back of his head on the grass.
This deadline was a success for me. We didn’t over commit and we significantly improved the team in one move. We did exactly as much as we should have.
My brother is a Braves fan and we see each other/watch games together often. Even with as much as I saw of Swanson, he's still managed to impress me this year.
Fair point, but I’d rather be the team that beat said National League pennant winner in the World Series and took their division 5 of the last 6 seasons than the one-and-done Cinderella team that was just happy to be there.
I have firmly been in the sell camp. Regardless of how well the team is playing, looking up and down the roster, I don't see a contender. As mentioned previously, strange things have happened.
