  1. Man, I'm starting to get excited about Ayers.
  2. I think he stays at AAA for the majority of the year with a couple callups mid and late year when a couple small injuries inevitably occur (hopefully not). This FO seems to really love getting their top guys a ton of AAA AB's which is a strategy I really like. Don't have any data backing that up but they traded for Busch who had close to 1000 AB's at AAA, Cassie had close to 1000 ABs as well and Alcantara is on track for that too as hes close 700 ABs there. Shaw is an outlier here as he was only around 250 ABs Wouldn't be surprised if they want Pedro on the same track.
  3. Didn't realize Murakami has been on such a heater.
  4. Yeah, id say im pretty optimistic about this season. We need to shore up pitching depth at the deadline and I think we will have the pieces in the minors to do it. Hopefully PCA gets going here and Busch gets back to normal and we have a pretty great offense imo.
  5. How long til we start talking about extending Mo Baller?
  6. I'm really excited about Hartshorn right now.
  7. Where is Jordan Wicks? Is he still hurt? When is he due back?
  8. We have really good catchers. What a luxury to have this season.
  9. Was Skenes consensus? I cant recall.
  10. I'm not ignoring his age, but....catchers do tend to take a little longer to develop. Ayers may be one of those guys. I am cautiously optimistic about him.
  11. I do not like pitching prospects
  12. Hopefully just early season dead arm.
  13. I don't think he's hurt. This sounds like a new way to rest pitchers that Zombro is implementing.
  14. Was it really? Dont remember that at all.
  15. Sure. We have no reason to trade him right now unless its for cost controlled pitching. Its the same exact calculation as Ballesteros. If they believe in the bat, they will keep him. We will have a better idea how they view that bat at the trade deadline. Is he untouchable the way Ballesteros was or not? We don't know yet.
  16. Not really. He's only 20. A lot can happen in 4 years.
  17. Good. Hate that the first day is just Round 1. Especially with how much of a crapshoot the MLB Draft is.
  18. I think we will find out more about how much the team values Rojas at the trade deadline. It was obvious last year with Mo Baller, I think it will be obvious with Rojas this year.
  19. Im really curious to see what they do with Rojas. Especially with Horton going down. They have 2nd and 3rd locked up for the foreseeable future, do they cash him in now?
