  1. The whole thing waa a farce anyway to avoid the rumors of a handshake deal already in place with the Dodgers, which everyone already knows is true.
  2. I'm really excited to see how Fernando Cruz does stateside after an offseason of work. I'm hoping one of him or Valdez can really breakout as a top 100 guy.
  3. I read a report somewhere that Sasaki will make his decision on the 20th. He has to sign by the 23rd as you stated.
  4. I'd give up Triantos and Assad for Luzardo. No to Cassie though. I'm a Luzardo fan but Cassie is too much imo.
  5. True. Harper came back pretty quickly too. Mathis is a really interesting prospect if he can be a 1b/3b/DH prospect. Same with Long. Hoping for a Mathis breakout similar to Long this year,
  6. Isnt Mathis more of a 1B/DH type though? Does he have the arm for 3rd? Is he going to be healthy to start the year after TJS? Havent really seen much about his recovery.
  7. Adding Tucker and moving Parades makes me sour on trading Nico now. I'd like to keep him for this season at least now that Shaw has a path to playing time at 3B.
  8. I firmly believe if Shaw shows up in ST he makes the team opening day. Counsell has a track record of letting the young guys play and take their beatings. He did with Busch and PCA this year and he was known for it in Milwaukee too. Thats one of the reasons we are paying him so much. I expect Shaw will get the same considerations to work through his issues in the MLB. Some combo of Rojas, Moncada and Workman (if he stays) seems like a good bench counterpart for him to shield him from tough matchups.
  9. We need another bullpen anchor too imo. Im a Porter Hodge believer but i want some competition for him
  10. Would be awesome. Big fan of his
  11. We have an elite bat. Finally! At least for next year
  12. I wouldnt be surprised if Counsell would push for Shaw to start the season at 3B if we move Parades. He has a track record of letting young guys play and figure it out. Im team start Shaw at 3B, but we definetly need a stopgap on the bench.
  13. Nah im just giving you horsefeathers. All good.
  14. My cat told me this morning the deal was for Miles Mastrobouni and Free hotdogs for life for Jim Crane when hes at wrigley
  15. Lol no way. Thats way too much for only one guarenteed year.
  16. Yes. I follow college baseball.
  17. Thats an easy deal to say yes too
  18. True. 3B is such a wasteland right now and giving up our starter AND a promising bat for 1 year is a lot. Id probably still do it though since its Kyle Tucker
  19. Id be hesistant to give up both Parades and Smith for just one year. Id want an extension in place.
  20. I think the Cubs could easily make a Tucker trade work without giving up either Shaw or Horton but id give up both easily for him if an extension was guarenteed
  21. seems pretty fair for San Fran
  22. Bieber back to the Guardians
  23. Not the biggest Jansen fan. Would rather go after Carson Kelly
  24. Why would you trade Suzuki? He was number 16 in wRC+ last year and we all know this team desperately needs guys that can create runs. That would be an insanely dumb move. It is Hoyer though. It has to be Bellinger only.
