  1. Reports of a sushi party being set up rn
  2. Isnt Mike wrong a lot? Not that it matters, he was never coming here
  3. Thats a solid price for him. Really wish the Cubs were in on that
  4. Hoyer making moves!!! Adding another ace to the staff, great use of the money saved by dumping Bellingers contract
  5. So we got our closer and got rid of Mastroboner?? Hoyer stock is 📈📈📈
  6. Kind of morbid but maybe those wildfires turn him off cali
  7. Should be hearing about Sasaki going there soon too
  8. We got our closer 🔥🔥🔥
  9. Happy to finally move on from Mervis, was absolute garbage when he got called up. Getting Brujan also feels like another nail in the coffin of Mastroboner
  10. That feels like a extremely light return for Naylor, even if its only for one year
  11. Could be true, but he did meet with the mets i believe. Could be some other reason hes not fond of philly
  12. Wolfe mentioned how the media messed with Sasaki’s psyche. He probably wants nothing to do with the media in philly.
  13. Sign Scott, Moancada, and Sasaki and call it an offseason. 👍
  14. I believe Torres mentioned he wouldn’t play any other position other than 2B
  15. Terrible return but nice to get out of that awful contract. Hopefully Jed actually spends those dollars
  16. Im surprised he got as much as he did. Must be the Senga/Imanaga effect
  17. I think handing him that big AAV contract in the first place? Hoyer is one of the few GMs that actively seeks to hand out high AAVs to get players to take shorter contracts but most other big markets typically tack on extra years to contracts to bring down the AAV on mega contracts. Also the multiple player options are wildly player friendly. So even though its short term, the contract is pretty untradeable without the cubs eating significant money.
  18. Id rather trade wicks
  19. Doesnt Luzardo only have 2 years of control? That feels really steep
  20. Now thats an overpay
  21. That comment from Hawkins TT posted is pretty clear that they are going to give Shaw a shot at winning the job. One year stop gap that can get benched halfway through the year is what they will probably pick up.
  22. Really don’t want them to spend a lot of prospect capital for Castillo.
  23. Yeah those are 2 generational players that dont really hit free agency often.
  24. I doubt Luzardo would cost any of the Cubs prospects on the top 100
