  1. Yeah any hope of him landing here is copium. Him being limited via international rules is more of a detriment id say. Hes trying to maximize his earning potential for his first actual MLB contract. Im pretty sure he will prioritize teams that have a track record of handing those big time contracts out like the Dodgers, Yankees and Mets. Also all three of those teams have been wildly more successful playoffs wise than the Cubs as of late while not crying broke after every other year.
  2. Yeah hes going to look great on the dodgers. Will be fun to watch Sasaki, Yamamoto, and Ohtani on the same team
  3. The rotation just improved immensely by him not being here. Was afraid he’d be back
  4. Not surprised, he had a very meh season. Wouldnt have this kind of money on the market. they should be able to trade him for a solid piece if they pick up some money on the deal
  5. People see coaches fired and think change is on the way even if Hoyer is running out the same crap team next year. How do I know people are this stupid? 2.9 million fans showed up this year, a little more than last year despite this team being marginally different but a shiny new coach made it seem like things were going to be drastically different.
  6. Im fairly confident TT is on the cubs payroll, bro just ignored everything i said and glazed the cubs FO again
  7. Like i get it, some of you adore Hoyer and dont care that this regime hasnt won a single playoff game in his tenure but its ok to criticize token moves
  8. Like you guys dont think theres any chance some meaningless coaches were let go to show or impact common fan perception that this seasons failure to make the playoffs yet again is unacceptable? No this new 1B coach is the new messiah?
  9. So you guys think this new 1B coach os the missing piece? World Series here we come?
  10. Like bertz do you actually believe that counsell was absolutely pining to get his own first base coach in here lol. That’s bringing in his own coaching staff?
  11. Yep, kind of pathetic how this team operates
  12. Rest of the coaching staff is expected to remain the same. This was a just a move for the sake of making a move. Hoyer is locked in with this mediocre team for another year
  13. Earth shattering
  14. Not surprised Zaidi got fired, he graduated from the Jed school of trying to be a competitive team without having a star
  15. Will be the same team next year and be the same record yet again. Just gotta hope the rest of the NL sucks
  16. Yeah hes been ass this year, he provided solid value last couple of years but he definitely should be non tendered this offseason.
  17. Definitely worried about this offense, Swanson continued regression. Looks like his last year with the Braves was his peak
  18. Pulling this from a bleacher nation article about Paredes: .333/.448/.462/159 wRC+ on the road (116 PAs) .101/.170/.139/-5 wRC+ at Wrigley Field (88 PAs)
  19. Assads had a solid year, sucks it ended on a poor note
  20. Honestly shocked that he’s starting, fully expected Tauchman to be starting.
  21. Saw they clinched a .500 record, should have popped some champagne for that. Thats all Ricketts is shooting for
  22. Nice for the Phillies, would be cool to win a division title. But Hoyer is so good at his job that he’s not assessed by the lack of playoff success
  23. Feels like Mastroboner gets more misplayed balls called hits instead of errors than anyone else in baseball
  24. Caissie is rule 5 eligible, and the 40 man is mucked up with a ton of scrubs
  25. Killian continues to prove he is not an MLB caliber pitcher
