Yah. I'm not gonna lie. I'd much rather have 2 games at Wrigley then not. But if fighting down to the wire for the division burns Steele and messes up the wild card rotation then I don't want to do it. Get into the playoffs and set your rotation.

Yah, I was a little skeptical about sending Steele out for the 8th without anybody warming up in the bullpen, but it worked out. This bullpen is pretty gassed. If you've the opportunity to give the high leverage guys some extra rest right now you absolutely want to do it. This was fortunate.

Yep. Wow This is pretty rough. Last night Alzolay got beat. He rarely does. It happens. Throwing Leiter out there tonight was just asking for an L though. Now you're looking at a strong chance of dropping 3 of 4 with Taillon on the mound tomorrow. Just an awful turn of events.

Amazing job by Assad tonight. I don't know exactly what to expect out of him moving forward, but if they get to lineup their wild card round rotation, it better be Steele, Hendricks, Assad. He's always going to give you a much better chance then Taillon.

Taillon is bad so this isnt surprising. Still sucks. The bullpen should already be up and I'd be quick to pull him here if he gets in any more trouble. Cubs bats can keep them in this.

I've got absolutely no faith in Taillon in a big game. Hopefully they can steal this one.

Dub. Bellinger is unstoppable. 8-4 road trip. Hard to beat that. Sucks they're probably still going to end the night 4 back in the division but you can't control what the Brewers are doing. Go home and win this next series against them.
