guys we almost got castillo, lester's contract was insane, and how can anyone give maeda that much when he's never pitched in america? i'm sure ricketts didn't want to have a 60million dollar payroll.
come on guys, people going to races do not want to see a violent collision with a person. people are too small to see from a distance and they hardly ever explode. people going to races want to see violent collisions between cars.
No. LAC, OKC, GS, SAS, HOU, POR, DAL, and MEM are all clearly better. PHO, DEN, and NO are probably better too. They are closer to the Lakers, SAC, and Utah than they are to any of those other teams ewing theory adoiiiii
absolutely. even if olt only hits .250, i'm going to spend the whole offseason worrying that that means i should lop 110 points off bryant's projected average.
It's pretty widely accepted that Soler can opt into arbitration once he's eligible. He'll only get paid at the level of his ML contract if he sucks. And you're obviously preaching to the choir about the value of keeping him down to gain an extra year. I guess I just don't understand why everyone assumes Soler will be up this year, but Bryant will be kept down to get the extra year. one thing to keep in mind: i never would have guessed that patrick mooney was super plugged-in or anything, but he was talking about the fact that baez was probably coming up this year all through july. he's been saying the same thing about soler as a september call-up all along. i am confident it's going to happen based on that alone.
another thing that is important to take into account is castro's reputation around the league. if russell crushes and forces his way into ss, i absolutely want to explore trading castro, but a real part of me thinks that we might struggle to get fair value for him. all the more reason to wait to pursue that trade until we have everyone else in place.
