So, what you're saying here is that there will not be a trade? :P I agree, this sounds to good to be true. Whats McLouth really worth anyway? Gallagher? Marshall? -
You can't count Cleveland out. They could end up with Jason Bay. I forgot they were in the Bay sweepstakes. If Cleveland gets Bay and a stud reliever they would contend with any team in either league.

Agreed. IMO, vastly overrated player. He never ammounted to anything more than a decent OF. His troubles aren't worth the quarter in my pocket.

Wow...I didnt think the Tigers had a payroll to accept both Cabrera and Willis. Willis is gonna cost them a ton now, and Cabrera will cost them a truckload in the near future. Hand the Tigers the AL Central crown if this happens, and if Santana stays in Minny all next year hand them the AL Crown.

Things really heating up. I like what I am hearing so far. Glad to see the Yanks & Red Sox are out a player for a change, even if they don't need him. They seem to be in the hunt for everyone who is available. My excitement will probably be short lived as Hendry probably didn't offer him enough doughnuts because he ate them all.

You'd think it would be a team that plays in a pitcher's park. Nationals would fit. Rangers not so much. Tigers, Mariners, Padres, Mets. I doesn't matter to me. The fact that there is a market for him outside of the Cubs is good enough news for me! :P :twisted:

wouldn't bother me at all. Me niether. I dont like the idea of Roberts taking playing time away from Pie, but this would at least give us a backup plan if/when Pie struggles. Plus Marquis is off the team, so thats a plus.

seriously. the cubs are apparently hemming and hawing about a few mil for prior, but they're perfectly willing to piss away $16 mil on that guy? i'd much rather have mark prior for the next three years than matsui. +1 Amen.

Reading this thread has made me realize how deep and talented the Rays minor leagues are, and will be in the future. I sure hope they all pan out so that there will be some competition against the Yanks and Red Sox in that division. Heck, even if half of them pan out they should have an awesome team really soon. Its to bad nobody cares for them down there, and their stadium is the worst in the bigs. -

The fact that Hendry is even thinking about this guy hurts my head. The fact that this is Hendry thinking makes it all more worse. This guy will be on the Cubs. No reports needed on this one. I really hope the Astros sweep us under the rug, but I have no hope.
