CCCCCCUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEE just continue to watch. i honestly can't understand how people can watch the cubs lose under the weirdest of circumstances for so long and honestly say there's not something crazy happening. you mean a collection of overpaid, crappy players being crappy is something supernatural? how many players do we have on the team with experience as key contributers on a playoff team? and i'm counting derosa with the 2003 braves. i know that soriano, floyd, and lee among the regulars have world series rings. the bad baseball excuse isn't going to work.

Oh man, I can actually see the e-steam coming out of your virtual ears. What do you say we actually get back on the point? DLee had better hit a home run soon, he's not going to keep hitting at this level unless his power comes back. No steam coming out of my ears; I'm as strong willed as you... Back on point, I'm not worried about DLee's power because he's hitting for average and getting on base at a high rate. without home runs his SLG will have a tough time maintaining. his BABIP is like .460! when his BABIP comes down and he's not hitting for power, he's going to be very bad. I wouldn't say very bad -- he does still have strong plate discipline -- but his BABIP is 3rd highest in all of baseball. If there weren't a physical issue in play I wouldn't be concerned. But considering that he suffered a major wrist injury, I think it'd be silly not to be concerned about his lack of power since it happened. very bad is hyperbole, but he won't be nearly as good or as valuable.

for the sake of simplicity, we'll keep it limited to this season. 79 plate appearances and counting. that's 18 games.

pujols can hit any pitch out of the park, lee can't hit anything out of the park. lee's homerless streak is like over 80 PA's now. if he can sniff one on a day like this, he ain't goin yard for a while. i'll throw a 200 Plate appearance wager out there.
