    Montgomery said after the game that Mizzou is the type of team that he just doesn't like to face(pressing, athletic bigs, etc), so I think part of it was just being a bad matchup for Cal and the home atmosphere helping things spiral out of control. That said, Mizzou killed them, they didn't get within 10 points after the 14:50 mark of the first half. Illinois and @Georgia are the two big games left in the non-conference, and given the season so far I'm optimistic we can be 13-2 or 14-1 when conference play rolls around. you should be optimistic about being 13-2 but don't be insane, plz.

    haha, ben is about the ugliest looking qb out there. he looks like the guy you usually put in the line for a flag football game but felt bad for one week so you let him have a few snaps at qb. nice play there, though.

    we have 3 significantly easier games ahead of us, though. if we win out, i think we're in. Well if we go 3-0, Minnesota has to go 1-2 or worse for us to get the division. i thought i was implying that i think they will. Ahh...its possible. Even if the Cardinals clinch today (which they will), they will essentially be playing the Vikings for the 3 seed in the NFC, so its still something to play for. Also with the loss today ATL is going to be fighting for their lives the week after, and even if the Giants have clinched everything they are still a tough team, and if still alive the Vikings will have a lot of pressure on them. The key is winning vs. NO this week and putting the pressure on Min agreed, it will be an uphill battle and they'll probably crap the bed against the saints next week anyway---but i can dream.

    oh my god, i don't know how they could reverse that call. seriously, lions got hosed. the vikings definitely have a guardian angel looking out for them. i guess they could have filed an injunction against that ruling if it went against them. they have challenged every play this game and it's gone their way.
