  1. true. i think i'd hire him without an interview, though.
  2. they may have to pay a buyout, but i can't imagine more than that.
  3. Eh...I think the Packers did a disservice to him to not at least let him interivew for the job and the opportunity to turn the job down himself. Nothing like having someone else speak for you. But, I understand why the Packers did it. It has nothing to do with speaking for you. He is under contract. They aren't saying he's not interested, they are saying, we aren't interested in letting you take our guy. That's why they have contracts. The coaches want security for seasons at a time, and in return the teams get stability. but coaches can choose to work wherever they want, though.
  4. and yet, they have one less final four appearance than iowa.
  5. and probably my favorite in light of what I had heard from a lot of the national media before the game... man, dallas fans really need to have a rib or two removed and be done with it. just seems like a lot of self-gratification for a team that's won a wildcard game in the last 13 years.
  6. Maybe that's because he didn't have QBs that could move. Or who were effective at moving. Not defending the guy, just sayin' or he would appear to structure his offenses around the same types of qbs. guys without especially strong arms or any athleticism to speak of, but who are capable of making quick reads and getting the ball out fast and accurately. like i've said, cutler is almost the exact opposite of a martz qb and his talents would be wasted in his system. if jay cutler is going to flourish, he needs a less rigid offense.
  7. michigan state is the class of the big ten, michigan has a modern national title and more final fours (even without the deleted ones), illinois has more final four and elite 8 appearances, ditto for ohio state, who also has a national title. i mean, purdue is nothing special in the least bit. they're middle of the pack at best.
  8. and wisconsin has as many final fours and a non-fictional national title.
  9. haha, hell, iowa has been to more final fours.
  10. how many teams in the big ten have more final four appearances or national championships that aren't fictional than purdue?
  11. kyle prater decommitted after carroll left and is now considering tennessee and illinois among some others.
  12. Martz does not move his qbs
  13. i admittedly don't know anything about buffalo or what kind of cover-2 they run. however, jauron didn't run the "tampa-2", he ran a avriation of the cover-2 that emphasized run-stuffing with road-graders up front. i'm sure that nothing will change in regards to the defense, though.
  14. there is no emoticon for how i'm feeling.
  15. btw, i could punch bcl412 for posting this before last night's game. granted, we still got a point out of these 2 games, but if we lose another one, i'll have some choice words for him.
  16. i feel better, now, as well.
  17. i know, but you're overthinking things. sometimes you have to let me vent without getting all red-assed and cheeky.
  18. but seriously, my arguments are pretty much 1. losing to a team like the ducks shouldn't happen so often as it does to us. and 2. outshooting your opponents by 30 and losing shouldn't happen so often as it does to us. 3. these things should never converge, either.
  19. haha, you're a spaz
  20. oh yeah, and anaheim's goaltender is not good.
  21. la is closer in talent to san jose than anaheim is to us. it's strange to lose to one of the worst teams in the western conference AGAIN.
  22. you don't even have to go back a week to find it happening to a similar team. last monday the sharks outshot the kings by 27 and lost http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/boxscore?gameId=300104018 the sharks are not nearly as balanced as we are.
  23. no, but something inside me broke in october of 2003.
  24. i mean, this shouldn't happen and it doesn't to similarly talented teams.
  25. the sharks did it to the blackhawks less than a month ago and it's not as unheard of as youre making it out to be. a lot of the blackhawks shots tonight were pucks that had no chance of going in. happened to us before? of course.
