  1. but you care about me right? you don't want me to have a heart attack and die, right? that might happen. it's possible. i'm afraid. i sure hope the hawks win the first round quickly. nashville is so boring and terrible. of course i want you to live a long and healthy life and continue being hilarious. but if we end up playing you i hope you have developed excellent coping skills by then.
  2. nobody here cares about the kings
  3. i will hand it to the celtics, though, nobody tries harder with nothing on the line.
  4. oh thanks for explaining that one
  5. I hope Derrick Rose Jay Williamses himself it'd be better than pulling a len bias or reggie lewis
  6. they foul down 6 with 9 seconds to go. lmao
  7. those jerks are still fouling. what a bunch of punks
  8. better call a time out, boston, you really need this game!
  9. smoothe move, ex lax
  10. i hope that the garnett and pierce both get hurt in this last minute and can't play in the playoffs.
  11. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambler%27s_fallacy sustaining a season-ending injury in the first game of the season is pretty much outrageously unlucky in itself. hell, sustaining a season-ending injury at any time during a season is fairly unlucky. just based on the odds, and completely eliminating the outcome of past seasons to be the predictor (which of course is the correct course of action), he'd have to be unlucky for it to happen to him this year. Only if you assume that being injured is an independent random event. That's not completely true. i have no idea what the numbers are in terms of a player aggravating a previously surgically repaired injury the year before but i know that i can't recall one off the top of my head in the last 10 years. if that's what you're talking about. this is not a player with a degenerative injury, this is a player that tore a ligament that was a repaired. it's more likely his production suffers.

  13. i've always wondered why the majority of forwards in the nhl shoot left-handed, while it's the opposite in baseball. i very seriously doubt most are left-handed. are they just given left-handed sticks when they start playing?
  14. sounds interesting
  15. of course, you are correct.
  16. Pretty much every report has DMac as going in the 2nd round. It would be a bad decision for him to leave. i've seen him in the top 10, but i hope he's back, obviously. i think illinois is a title contender next year if he comes back, at least by missouri standards,
  17. on one hand, it would be nice to see him stay, but on the other hand, it would be nice to see him go in the lottery while that halfling collins ends up crying himself to sleep in his hobbit-hole waiting for the phone to ring. all the evil gypsies, all the empty promises, and all of the dump trucks full of cash in the world can't help you now, mr. toad. hope you saved some of that green, cuz you are playing in saudi arabia.
  18. if he makes the birdie he's at -12.
  19. phil you muppet
  20. i had no hopes for this season anyway for the cubs. the bulls would be better off not making the playoffs and trying to win the lottery again. the hawks, well, as bukie said, they won't play detroit until possibly the wcf. marginally bad day for chicago, but i've seen worse.
  21. we will pound detroit's dainty asses if we play t hem in the wcf this year.
  22. i don't care. i'd rather play the preds to tell you the truth. let san jose choke their lives away again to the 8 seed.
