i misunderstood what was going on and it looked bad for weber, so that was my mistake for jumping to conclusions. i'll give weber another year to do something, anything in the tournament. i'll even give him a pass if wins 1 game in the ncaa tournament, that's not a lot to ask. if he fails to make it next year or his team performs badly and flames out in the first round again, he's got to face the music just like anyone else. Catastrophic injury excuse aside, if he doesn't get a decent seed in the tourney next year and win at least one game, I'll lead the cheers myself. Especially if McCamey is back. fair enough.

What a tool. tim, i'm not going to call for him to be fired, but i sure as hell am going to be critical of everything he does until he makes a deep tourney run. Deeper than 2005? So you're saying we have to win the championship to be happy. Gotcha. 1 tournament win in 5 years ain't cutting it. title game appearance aside, any other coach at a major program would be getting the same heat with those numbers.

Not really. I'd guess Stan Simpson, a redshirt freshman who never plays, and doesn't look to crack the rotation any time soon, but he wouldn't be sitting in the middle of the bench. You have any sort of description of him? He was a black guy wearing just the uniform (no warms up or anything like that, so I assume he plays ). It was about 20 seconds of highlights and was really the only thing that stood out to me, other than the fact that it was highlights of the NIT and I'll watch anything on an airplane. keller, maybe

i just don't see any of those rotten jobs being better than minny. especially if minny can match. oregon is a bad job as i've already outlined in this thread, and auburn has probably had more high profile successes, but it's in [expletive] alabama!!!!!

and it pains me to say it, but tisdale could be a useful nba player in the mold of a bill wennington.

well, keller IS a senior and is often effective against mid-major types due to his athleticism and the fact that he can actually get his shot off against them. i see no problem with bruce giving some minutes to keller. i see a problem with him benching mccamey right after he did something good and interrupting a nice run by calling a time out to do it.

tisdale is almost worth less than nothing defensively on the court. at least nothing doesn't give up and ones. can we just have him stand on the offensive end?

Depends on how many more times sulley gets to use up three pages per game complaining about how the calls never go for Illinois and how his teams never catch breaks. While Illinois is up 10 this might be a joke, but when illinois is up 10 is when things go the worst, so that's actually the best time for sulley to be complaining. somebody finally gets it. absolutely correct

For the most part the only people who are going to post about the NIT are going to be Illini fans. You guys would likely takeover the overall March Madness thread which is pretty universally about people's brackets and THE tournament. You guys would likely annoy the rest of us with the drama of Illini's games and we would annoy you by responding to them. This way you guys can post away from that and not be bothered. It's a win-win. You are a real piece of work. God forbid you be annoyed by our fandom. There is a reason why the Bulls and some other teams have there own thread. When the Illinois is in the NIT they should have their own thread. Not sure why you are complaining or throwing out insults. their not there
