  2. all of these remind me of dan hamhuis.
  3. i think he needs to play everyday, but he won't if he stays with the big club. it's hard weighing his potential worth against his immediate worth, though.

  5. he is my favorite isu player ever, though.
  6. Just the same "We're young we'll be back" talk every team's fans do when they lose in the playoffs. the boards i've checked show a pretty classy group of fans, actually.
  7. on a side-note, halak had 53 saves tonight. it would appear that the canadiens won a game easily in which they were thoroughly dominated.
  8. i'm not afraid of luongo. i'm actually more afraid of quick. it just seems like guys like that get us, while we have no problem with guys like luongo

  17. is he trying out at qb, though? That's what I've heard. I read a quote from Angelo saying he's going to compete with Hanie and LeFevour. now that would be dumb
  18. is he trying out at qb, though?
  19. nor is julius michalik
  20. juice is a college spread-option power quarterback. he's very mechanical in his throws, his arm is amazing, but his release and decision-making are very slow. he sucks at short throws, good at deep ones, average at the intermediates. he doesn't have the speed of randle-el or brad smith and cannot play wide receiver, has never returned kicks or punts, nor would anyone want him to. his ability lies in his strength as a runner, and for a power back, he's got average elusiveness. he runs over people, not around them. if there were a special roster exemption for the wildcat quarterback, he'd be a nice fit, but there isn't. he's got virtually zero chance of ever making an NFL roster. Thx. I was trying to think outside the box with Juice. Maybe he is destined for a team like the Chicago Rush or Chicago Slaughter. i'm thinking it's very intriguing to imagine him at full-back, though. a big back that could take direct snaps might be an interesting weapon.
  21. yeah, i was going to post about this. if memory serves, players who are in the midst of a ridiculous hitting extravaganza tend to walk very little. Castro will never be the second coming of Barry Bonds at the plate, but i wouldn't be extremely concerned about his IsoD right now. yeah, but even when he's not in the middle of a hitting extraveganza, he's not patient. He also never K's either, making his high AVG more sustainable. Also, like was said, if he starts hitting more XBH like he has to start the year, I think you'll see the walks climb a bit as pitchers are forced to be more careful with him. Either way, Castro's never going to be a HanRam type offensive monster, but he's a strong defender, and if he's putting up MLE's of something like .300/.330/.450 at age 20, he's going to be plenty valuable while he's under the team's control. dude, i'll trust you because i respect your opinion, but if he ends up sucking, you will never be forgiven.
