  1. it's about to get a whole lot more frustrating if the caps can't score here in the next 15 minutes.
  2. they think omiyale at RT is going to be enough, apparently.
  3. i don't think so. though break, but i think thats the right call. maybe you dont call that in the playoffs though yeah, it was the right call, but like you said, one you don't make in the playoffs
  4. you take that back
  5. 20 minutes from the president's trophy winner being ousted in the first round for a second straight year.
  6. wasn't it you that said this? must be embarrassing for you, actually to have to recant when you know the numbers you posted are complete turds. plus/minus? only proves that he's a nice little defensive piece to have on the court when you have guys who can shoot. on offense, as has been said, he' totally ordinary.
  7. I can't tell if you're trolling or not, so I'll just assume you are. But: LOL can't conceive of the notion that lebron excels in the nba because of the referees? then why would lebron disappear in international competition? The NBA hasn't changed. The international game has. International players/teams have gotten much, much better. no, europe and south america are still sending role players to the NBA who excel in international competition. it's because they're used to having to avoid contact to get good shots and points. in the NBA, like i said, they're still role players. it's the officiating that gives lebron his strength.
  8. That's an interesting theory. http://www.basketballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=409 That sort of indicates that Lebron is a monster on D against over matched international players but sort of ordinary as an offensive playmaker. His ORtg is less than Bosh and Howards. I do think Lebron's value on defense has been understated. He was devastating against the Bulls with his help D. Comparing those raw ratings across positions isn't really the right approach. Either way, LeBron is a force regardless of style of play or opposition. oh, so the ratings you posted after "that's an interesting theory" are junk? why did you post them then?
  9. that's funny, because i watched a lot of those games and don't remember him doing much of anything. you think he'd be the dominant force in international play that he is in the NBA. but at the ends of games when they needed the big shots, they were going to carmelo, kobe, and wade. the only explanation for his domination of the NBA and his lack of dominance in the international game would, to me, is that the international game is officiated differently. as far as his defensive ratings, of course, he's a very large, very athletic man who can clear great distances with a single leap. but that's essentially the only thing he does better than anyone else--be athletic.
  10. I can't tell if you're trolling or not, so I'll just assume you are. But: LOL can't conceive of the notion that lebron excels in the nba because of the referees? then why would lebron disappear in international competition?
  11. yeah, these are the best two hitters in the lineup.
  12. buff's farts are luongo's krytonite.
  13. Define better? I did that in my other post. :[ if you can watch any game and honestly tell me that you think rondo is better at basketball than rose, you're a fool. ssr is joking because he appreciates hilarity and that's what ensues when he brings up rondo. so, i understand why he does it because i find it hilarious, too.
  14. was stan simpson a webster recruit?
  15. add carmelo to the group of guys who are exponentially more valuable in the international game than lebron. you know, basketball players, not rugby players. the nba should be ashamed of themselves for creating a league designed around lebron and not basketball players.
  16. in the international game, you can't get away with the bull-in-a-chinashop schtick, so lebron is virtually a worthless player in any international event. athletic and large, but ordinary. it's why the US had to rely on guys like wade and kobe to bring home the gold. just leave lebron at home in 2012, he's a non-factor if he doesn't have the refs. give the roster spot to someone whose game isn't predicated on running people over like a big ol' goon and who can actually avoid contact.
  17. if i ran this team, lou would do nothing but sit there and tell stories all day. the manager would do nothing, absolutely nothing, but follow club policy.
  18. you can't complain about being 1-12 and 0-8 w/risp, that's just bad luck. but you CAN complain about lou batting tracy in a key situation.
  19. managers, by rule, are just bad and will generally micromanage and do the wrong thing. lou is no different. he can't get out of his team's way, either. the best team would have no manager, there would just be a computer that spits out what to do.
  20. tracy is [expletive] awful. lou hates soto, there's no other reason for it.
  21. the wings are just some team that no one wants to play, not the favorite to take any series.
  22. no one said they were finished, just old.
