    thinking back on that, yeah it makes sense. i figured he just misjudged the pursuit. i thought it was weird at the time because his instincts in those situations are usually very good.

    i don't know how ai feel about that. leddy is expensive to keep in chicago. i also wish we would keep beach up. morin really intrigues me, he's gotten very good reviews. but keeping both morin and leddy around for a whole season would put us right up against the cap.

    i know it's cool to hate on simmons, but when it comes to basketball he knows what he's talking about, and he actually does get good info. hopefully the bulls stand pat, because that's way too much to give up for melo imo depends on what #1's we give up

    it's a shame prosecutors are reticent to press charges just because of that one guy who went all crazy during the duke lacrosse thing.

    seriously, why can't collegiate athletes just be regular kids that are good at sports and not be part of some weird clandestine sex ring or gambling ring or burglary ring or getting-shot or shooting-someone ring or woman-choking because they didn't want to watch roots ring? i'm convinced that all collegiate athletes are just degenerate criminals.

    I'd be surprised if Bush was available...McFadden's had 3 good games. I'd guess they at least want to feel out this season with him. If the Packers are willing to overpay by a decent amount, I think it'd be a good idea to deal Bush. If they don't get a really good deal for him, though, you're probably right. If we're willing to overpay, I'd take Williams or Lynch ahead of Bush. But again, any of those options sound outstanding to me right about now. They gotta do something with the run game, and they've got to do it soon. Brandon Marshall just isn't the answer. lol marshall

    on most all of hester's td returns he runs right and slips through a crease. i think it's easier to set this up off of a punt, the defense is less organized and more prone to being blocked effectively because they're being jammed off the line of scrimmage.

    he's always been a 3-4 end, hasn't he? He played 4-3 in Denver I believe. hasn't shanahan always preferred the 3-4 scheme?

    Overall emergence or to fill the role they expected Oglesby to fill? It seemed from what I've heard that after his workout at Illinois, they really thought he could be a combo guard and handle the point/run the offense at times. The insiders on the Gophers board are saying he told the coaches that he won't be attending Minnesota. i think that if they were going to take oglesby, they would want to make sure that he could handle the point and the consensus is that he's not quick enough, i guess. every guard in the offense has to be able to play a little point, so they must not have felt that he would be a good fit. and with head coming back at 100%, they didn't need another wing anyway. i am super excited about crandall, he is a monster, and at an athletic 6-5, he can do it all.
