  1. aside from his ability to grab a jump ball, i don't see how he's more "dominant", seems like this megatron hype nonsense. Look above. Faster + downfield threat = more dominant. Plus, it's not like Calvin couldn't catch 100 if Detroit used him in that way. It's not like I'm comparing him to DeSean Jackson who is never going to be an 80 catch WR. i think faster and downfield threat are pretty redundant, you can't count them as two separate attributes. if you want to go the speed route then fine, but marshall is a superior route runner, which, as a wide receiver, is more important than speed. also, marshall is a more physical and stronger. i'm not trying to say marshall is clearly better, but the argument can be made--even in the face of the megatron nonsense.
  2. back in poland, we all had ponies

  4. Having more yards does not automatically make one a better receiver. and catches.
  5. more sane, yes. i don't know how you'd judge marshall to be less tough and dependable, though. he's working on his 5th straight 1,000 yard season, he's had more than 100 catches 3 times in the last 4 years. he's about as dependable as they come.
  6. My impression is that while he isn't as good as Johnson, he is the same type of receiver. as i said, i don't see much of a difference other than that johnson can jump a little higher and marshall is a bit more physical. marshall seems to be a bit more of a possession receiver as well and isn't used quite so much in the red zone for some reason.
  7. so mcnutt? where do i sign? can i sign?
  8. Have there? Any links to that? The only reason I could see people thinking this way was the incident when they played each other last year where Marshall got a first down and tossed the ball to Cutler on the sidelines, but from all indications, that was done in good fun not as a means of antagonizing Cutler. Nothing to do with that. He's been asked on more than one occasion specifically about bringing Marshall here and he's been pretty ho-hum on the idea. cutler has been fairly boring and diplomatic with the media since he's been here, though. the most controversial thing he's ever said is "i don't know, i don't know" when asked if he could survive the season with lineplay like this.
  9. so, we're 6 games in and cutler's passer rating, with a line that can't pass block, is 88 and his completion percentage has crept over 60%. the man is a hero.
  10. The rule book only returns those to the 40. Or is it the 35 now? Either way, I like Hester catching those. yeah, but i'm talking about the times he catches one of those and immediately runs out of bounds.
  11. i don't think a big enough deal has been made out of what devin hester has been able to do in his career. it's absolutely amazing, he has destroyed every other kick returner in history and we get to the point where we almost expect him to do it every week. yeah, he'll occasionally catch a kickoff that's about to go out of bounds, or he'll muff one, but it's all worth it.
  12. really? i heard him refer to calvin johnson as a "brandon marshall-type", i thought they liked each other. http://www.chicagonow.com/da-bears-blog/2011/10/chicago-bears-should-trade-for-brandon-marshall/ i don't really think that there's much difference between the two of them. marshall doesn't get the hype because of his history of violence and the fact that he plays without a quarterback. marshall is pretty much the same receiver. let's get him.
  13. really? i heard him refer to calvin johnson as a "brandon marshall-type", i thought they liked each other.
  14. i'd give up a first round pick for a 27 year old receiver that perennially put up 1,000 yard seasons and makes his quarterback look good.
  15. that would give me a huge boner but i think the dolphins can get more, considering brandon lloyd is now the focus of a bidding war.
  16. i had no idea he was benched, i thought we just rushed him back too quickly. that sucks because when he's playing well he's the best safety we have.
  17. cutler looks to be in alien-fighting mode tonight.
  18. um, we want any wild card contender in the NFC to lose. Not thinking of it in that way. you should. i was ecstatic when he threw that td
  19. um, we want any wild card contender in the NFC to lose.
  20. is scouting director a demotion from assistant GM? because that's what byrnes should be.
  21. hahahaha schwartz, what a [expletive] spaz. that guy's alway acting like a [expletive] and then some meathead slaps him on the back like the oaf he is and he gets all red-assed.
  22. david carr, but he taped it up.
  23. Saints say "sup?" dream on. your team is inferior.
  24. Hahahahahahaha, ok that is pretty funny. But honestly if you are conceding the 1st wild card and division already, it's not like their is anyone running away with the second wildcard. no, but we better hurry up
  25. how is his ceiling higher than jackson's? He doesn't have some of the contact issues Jackson has and he has better speed and is better defensively. but he's not as patient and doesn't have jackson's power. those are the attributes i like best. You're right. Szczur has better power potential. what?
