  1. nice, now wrap up okoye, too.
  2. technically, this belongs in this thread instead. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/suleyman21/nicpalko.jpg
  3. looks like mcnabb will clear waivers and be there for the signing. http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/7306453/source-dallas-cowboys-not-try-claim-qb-donovan-mcnabb it states that it's not likely he clears waivers, which is kind of ridiculous because if dallas doesn't put in a claim on him, then if the bears don't he'll definitely clear and be available to sign to a lesser deal.
  4. I'm with you. Completely forgettable organization. playing for the angels is like playing in singapore.
  5. He should be done for awhile. i know different states punish crazy gunnyness differently and that people in the deep south often allow that nonsense to go unpunished because they can barely be considered human beings, but that deserves at least double the sentence that plaxico got.
  6. They had an alleged victim with a pretty good story and another potential victim who confirmed something weird happened plus a recording that revealed a hell of a lot of bad stuff was happening. They had a hell of a story that they could have easily chosen to run with. But they didn't run it because ESPN is nothing but a promotional tool for institutions like Syracuse. pretty much exactly right.
  7. what would you say you're doing here, then?
  8. the opposite was true of derosa. coming off a career year, which he basically duplicated Ah I see. So that was one case where Hendry's tendancy to sign everyone coming off a career year actually worked out. I seem to remember some people here weren't too high on him (didn't expect a repeat). But Derosa changed minds around here quickly, I think Dejesus could do the same thing. By the way did you know we have 2 Dejesus's on the team now? Starlin's middle name is Dejesus, according to BR atleast. also, ivan dejesus was our first base coach last year. You just got bumped from Bob Dernier's holiday card list. ack, 3rd base coach. sorry.
  9. Thought that's what I heard, but CSN doesn't have it at the moment and I see nothing about an online feed from the Cubs. Late getting started, maybe? The Cubs just tweeted out a photo of DeJesus at Wrigley surrounded by media. So. I dunno. No video coverage for this one? Not all that newsworthy. yeah, it's a not a huge signing.

  11. Yeah, the way he phrased it was in-line with what we've heard all along, he could be back in a few weeks, or his season could be over. He has to be patient and we don't know yet. But every took the "could be over" portion and ran that as the headline. also, i think what happened was he mentioned that the pins could come out in up to 10 weeks, and espn ignored the fact that he stated he could play with the pins in there. he said something like, the pins could come out in 3 to 10 weeks, whether i play or not."
  12. tough luck, but that's a hard game to win in chapel hill.
  13. scout's got him at a 4 ah, I was going off of Rivals. Honestly have no idea which one is better. scout for basketball, rivals for football.
  14. scout's got him at a 4
  15. watch out for the duje, though.
  16. How many times does this myth have to be dispelled. Wisconsin has legitimate talent. Ryan isn't winning with a bunch of scrubs they have like 3 4-star players on the roster, the rest are 3-star, pretty much, including jordan taylor.
  17. patrick peterson is a future defensive superstar who won't be returning punts for very long in the league.
  18. she's not hot for an athlete wife. look at her all sneakin into the picture with brad pitt, lol
  19. yeah, it's not his resume that's the issue, it's his ability to piss anyone and everyone off. he's a czar, and if he'd won a super bowl as a head coach, he may have more leeway, like a parcells, but he didn't.
  20. i've been surprised by the confidence that griffey seems to be playing with, i'm impressed with his development. also, maybe brandon paul finally gets it, he took the ball to the hoop with regularity and good things happened. he played like a leader.
  21. yeah, they won't throw enderle out there if they can avoid it. i just don't like the idea of going with another bad retread like mccown, we know he's bad, everyone knows he's bad, please don't pull hanie for this guy.
  22. They thought Terry Shea could essentially run it before. Not a good idea. good call, i forgot about shea.
  23. martz is the architect of his offense, i don't want anyone running it except for him. if he's gone, so is the scheme. i have never heard of anyone else running the exact scheme that martz does, anyway, have you? get cutler in the shotgun, let him survey the field and use his brain a little bit.
  24. the only system i'd like to see him in is the packers' offense. that offense was built for quarterbacks like rodgers and cutler. tom clements would be perfect and i don't think even the packers would be evil enough to deny him an interview at this point.
  25. Not much in the way of size or athleticism, but he's a bulldog. Plus he seems like he's pretty smart and composed. He's like the offensively oriented version of Chester Frazier. he's much more efficient offensively than chet, though. he's very solid, though not really a distributer. edit, sorry, just saw that last part, i missed it on my initial read through.
