Not disagreeing but how is Collins different than all the other Duke assistants that have bottomed out? because this is northwestern. let me expound on this a bit. northwestern is a school in need of a basketball facelift, and collins certainly fits the bill. he has national name recognition, has been the right hand man of a legendary coach, is from the area, and knows the recruiting grounds. the second-tier illinois athletes will want to play for him, and he may be able to get a pretty solid foundation to build from.

Twitterverse also thought Howland wasn't out until news broke on Saturday, so yeah. yeah, but they ain't the ones saying Gottfried is the frontrunner. Adam Zagoria is pretty damn clueless on this one. it doesn't make you a little nervous? i mean anything less than stevens or smart would be a disaster, though i think marshall would save them face.

Unless Rayvonte Rice is better than I'm expecting, yes. They lose 4 rotation players, and are almost certainly going to have to play 4 wings with Myke Henry at the 4 at least to start. i think maverick morgan is going to get a lot of early playing time for better or for worse. we'll see something like: abrams/nunn rice/hill/nunn bertrand/henry/langford egwu/henry morgan/egwu 9-man rotation. depending on how the shooting is, there is a distinct possibility that latulip sees some time. but, as has been said, hill can shoot, nunn can shoot, henry can shoot. i have no idea what to expect from rice, but he's got a reputation as a pretty mean customer. i think they'll be better next year, over .500 in Big Ten play, they won't disappear as much due to the streaky shooting of richardson and paul and will most likely have more of a consistent identity apart from chucking. they're going to miss the scoring though, a lot, and somebody's going to have to step up.

That's definitely something I've heard from the Kentucky fans about him. He just wasn't very interested in getting out there for either recruiting or fan stuff and that really rubbed a lot of their fans the wrong way. the fact that he's black rubbed a lot of their fans the wrong way.

I thought he did a good job at Minnesota. Who are they going to hire that will be any better? they'll make a run at Shaka, since they have VCU's old AD. I'll bet that they fired Tubby just because of that. Shaka may not be so averse to recruiting in the twin cities as he would be in Chicago.

iowa st wouldn't have been in it if not for him [expletive] all over himself the last 7 minutes. last possession could not have gone better. I sign on for that shot all day. a three pt play on that horse [expletive] charge call puts iowa st up 4 with a minute and change left. part that stings the most is the absolute collapse of the rest of the bracket and the legit chance they would have had at a FF. i feel your pain, homes. it will almost assuredly happen to the illini tonight, but the game thankfully won't be so close.
