I'm arguing against your insistence on pretending Roger can't or won't suspend without a conviction, let alone an arrest. He absolutely can, has, and will. This specific case doesn't seem to lend itself to a suspension, based on what we know, but if more facts emerge he could easily do it (if marshall somehow incited the brawl, if Marshall's bodyguard or friend did the punching, etc). There is no need for conviction for Roger Goodell to suspend a player. Most people have said that's kind of crazy, but it's just a fact. if he would have taken it to court and been cleared and if he never bought any college kids beer, goodell couldn't have enforced any punishment.
