  1. which one's your team, again?
  2. which game? The one where they ended my team's season on some sub-rule that made no [expletive] difference because Atkins hit the free throw sorry, i wasn't paying attention.
  3. well at least purdue was able to recover from their shameless yacking and get the big ten a win
  4. It's Nantz and Kellogg. It's pretty much expected from them. Kellogg was the jerk in question
  5. Wow. Fix is in
  6. please let duke lose
  7. now THAT was a terrible call. what are the refs, blind?

  14. is the missouri game on yet?
  15. you're insane yeah, it really should be on a hold evaluation.
  16. Faith in Haith
  17. i've already conceded that a long time ago, but he absolutely cannot suspend them without an admission of guilt (ie: a settlement) or multiple witness corroboration of an adjacent wrongdoing. although he'd like to suspend him for being in a club at 4 am, he can't, he doesn't have the power.
  18. I'm arguing against your insistence on pretending Roger can't or won't suspend without a conviction, let alone an arrest. He absolutely can, has, and will. This specific case doesn't seem to lend itself to a suspension, based on what we know, but if more facts emerge he could easily do it (if marshall somehow incited the brawl, if Marshall's bodyguard or friend did the punching, etc). There is no need for conviction for Roger Goodell to suspend a player. Most people have said that's kind of crazy, but it's just a fact. if he would have taken it to court and been cleared and if he never bought any college kids beer, goodell couldn't have enforced any punishment.
  19. i've learned a few things when you're down with seconds to go: 1. no matter what the announcer says, you always need a 3 2. you don't throw it short with under 4 seconds to go and you have to go the length of the court 3. don't pass it to your 7 foot goof
  20. that dude for the bonnies is about as ignorant as you can get in regards to basketball. no excuse for what he was doing.
  21. he also settled with the plaintiff, keeping charges from being brought against him.
  22. if not from ben, then from a bevy of eyewitnesses. i'm not sure why you're arguing with me here as you've already said that nothing will happen if this lady's story isn't backed up by somebody, whether he's charged or not. so you already agreed with me.
  23. my point is that, regardless of what the letter to Roethlisberger said, it would have been pointless to appeal the suspension in court because Goodell had him providing alcohol to minors. this is a case of Goodell using the fact that Ben was caught in a conundrum to beat his chest in power. Considering he wasn't charged or convicted of that crime then I'm not sure how Goodell "had him" in any more substantial way than how he's had anybody else who has been suspended. i believe that he ""had"" an admission of a crime.
