  1. Nice pick for the 49ers: Vernon Davis. Not a lot of tight ends who are 263 lbs and run 4.3's.
  2. I'm actually really surprised at how happy the Jets fans were at the Ferguson pick. I expected a lot of them to be hoping for Leinart.
  3. Uh-oh! Murton with 2 out and the bases loaded.
  4. I've gotten Wood before, but without much interaction. You almost have to wonder if this sentence was written this way on purpose. Whether on purpose or by accident, it's still hilarious. I actually laughed out loud.
  5. Maddux went seven pitches last time up, eight this time. 15 pitches to Maddux alone.
  6. But was it a sac bunt or Ronny trying to get on by a bunt on his own? I honestly don't know. It's just a recurrent concern.
  7. I would love it if Baker realized that there's no point in having a guy whose supposed to MAKE THINGS HAPPEN on the basepaths leading off if you're going to bunt him over every time he gets on base.
  8. Really puts the "Rod" in "ARod," eh?
  9. So creppy. I mean, totally full of crep.
  10. Um, you do know Cedeno's average has dropped 47 points since moving to #2, right?
  11. Come on, this micromanagement is getting ridiculous.
  12. Like the sound of that. :D
  13. i never said that clutch pitching was fictional, just clutch hitting. pitchers, i believe, are subject to "clutchness". I don't understand the logic that pitchers can be subject to clutchness and not hitters. Hitters are subject to the same pressure as pitchers, and they too can have their mechanics falter as they try to press. i think it's more that pitchers have less room for error than hitters, who are afforded the luxury of being able to make more mistakes, and get away with them, than pitchers. add that to the fact that a pitching motion generally involves more moving parts and you get my assertion. But what if the hitter is Derrek Lee?
  14. Why is he unable to do that in the majors? who says he can't? he had more good innings than bad when he was up last year. Consistancy is the issue I guess. and sample size. And more negroes.
