SC driving on Arkansas, 26-13 witha achance to score.

Arkansas leads South Carolina 23-6 after a double-tipped hail mary pass goes for a touchdown right before the half. McFadden has 11 for 128, Jones has 5 for 28. The big question is whether Mustain will get back into the game if Arkansas can score again before Carolina does. The QB controversy potential here is astounding.

Is June "Run-N-Shoot" Jones still their coach? you bet by the way, that hawaii QB is putting joining the illustrious company of guys like Andre Ware, Tim Rattay, David Klingler and Shaun King I don't recall anybody saying he was gonna be an NFL star.

I disagree. I think Bruce Hurst was a pretty good, but not great pitcher over the course of his career. -
-cough- Chan Ho Park -cough- And before anyone says anything, I realize that Chan Ho Park wasn't very good to begin with, but if I'm Hicks I'm reticent for any big price pitchers who have yet to prove themselves in the MLB. What? I'm struggling to figure out any connection whatsoever between Chan Ho Park and Daisuke Matsuzaka other than being Asian. Park is not Japanese, and thereby was never posted. He had pitched for the Dodgers for eight years before signing with teh Rangers. And finally, he had put together good to very good seasons in four of the previous five seasons. So "not very good to begin with" is wrong, "yet to prove themselves in the MLB" is wrong, and pretty much any correlation with Matsuzaka is nonexistent.

I wonder where South Carolina ranks on that list. They still have Arkansas, Florida, and Clemson to go. They could end up being the best 6-6 team in the nation.

But he's not bad. Well, he was pretty bad this year, but at worst, you get a cheaper, younger Pierre with better defense and more versatility. I wouldn't mind this deal assuming several other things fall into place and that the cost was low. He's essentially Black Ryan Freel with a shade less discipline and a shade more average usually. He had a sudden 30 point BABIP drop last season, so he would be poised for a bounceback.

This got me looking up the players on the lists. Holy crap, I forgot how amazing Will Clark's last season was. Clark quietly put together a brilliant career that won't be recognized because he didn't have HOF longevity. Yet another reason I love Baseball Reference.

Finally the Hogs pass LSU. Now comes the challenging part of the schedule. For most SEC teams, really. Tennesee/SC and Florida/GA this weekend. Arkansas/SC and LSU/Tennessee next weekend. Arkansas/Tennessee, Auburn/GA, Florida/SC (poor South Carolina), and Alabama/LSU the following weekend. not much the next-to-last weekend, but the last weekend has LSU/AR, SC/Clemson (poor SC), GTech/GA, and Fla/FlaSt. Sure is interesting.
