  1. Wow, I think the db snake head actually trumps the Brewers glove.
  2. They really should have put that DB snake-head as their hat logo. It's so amazing, they need to utilize it. And I just noticed something, are they officially the D-backs now? I know Diamondbacks is a long word, but is that what everyone is going to call them now? I will hereafter refer to them as the Arizona Safeties.
  3. Yeah. It would be kinda weird for Florida to win the SEC championship title game and Auburn make the NCG because of that. I mean is it a championship game or what? Im sure people from Auburn might argue this but they are just being silly. Arkansas has 2 tough games coming up so Auburn may end up getting the chance to prove it in the title game. If Arkansas stumbles and Auburn makes it to the SEC championship game and wins it, then sub in Auburn for Florida in the scenario I laid out earlier. So what if Arkansas doesn't stumble? If Arkansas takes out Tennessee, LSU, and Florida in the championship game, what happens to them? Under the same scenario (i.e. Louisville losing), Arkansas should go to the National Title game. If Arkansas finishes the year (before a bowl) 12-1 they will have defeated Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, and likely Florida. Somehow I find it hard to imagine that happening just because of the cushion Auburn has. They have a very good shot at running the table, so it'd be tough for the Hogs to jump them. Jumping WV if they're still at one loss shouldn't be tough, and at least two out of USC/Cal/ND will likely lose again. Texas and Auburn are the teams that are tough to figure out how Arkansas would pass.

  5. ranked where? Because they're #25 in the AP and #27 in the Coaches.
  6. Vandy is one of those teams that can play with anybody, but can't necessarily beat them. You've got your hands full, UK, but good luck. (I was in Lexington when Central Michigan came to town. It was an odd weekend.)
  7. But they also have lost to Navy, San Diego State, and BYU. Air Force can't throw the ball(they have two backs with more rushing yards than their QB has passing yards) if they fall behind either. Is BYU really a good example of a loss to illustrate that an unranked team isn't that tough? And "Air force can't throw the ball" just makes me laugh uncontrollably.
  8. My question to you is why do they have to prove it after beating Auburn? These voters are just too ignorant to admit they were wrong in the first place IMO. Well, until SC, they had subsequently beaten up bad teams. SEMO, Ole Miss, and LA-Monroe didn't get anybody excited or answer a lot of questions, and they hadn't been remarkably impressive beforel the Auburn game. SC was the toughest matchup since the Auburn game. I agree their schedule isn't steller but crushing Auburn in Auburn showed me something. That game was dominated by Arkansas, not just won by turnovers and a last second field goal. You beat a team like that and they still vote you 5 to 7 places behind, you can't tell me something isn't fishy here. Arkansas is the ugly redhaired stepchild to the SEC. I'll take 5 to 7 spots when they were previously 30 spots behind, and I can't blame people for being cautious with their voting when I feel the same way about this Hogs team. If they beat Tennessee as they are capable of, then I really get behind them as a top 6 or 7 team.
  9. I'm sure that hasn't been mentioned to date.

  11. At least 2 games switched when they were over. That makes me feel better.
  12. I don't know if they just switched to this game, but if it's been on the whole time and I'v ebeen following online for no reason, I'm less than happy. At least I tuned in in time to see Ronnie Brown break out a big one.
  13. Arkansas isn't being robbed any more this week than they were previous weeks. Two teams lost in the top 11 (Tennessee and WV). WV moved down to 10th in both polls, and Tennessee fell to 13th and 15th. Hard to justify moving Arkansas farther than the one available spot with no dominating performance. If they finish off Tennesse, Mississippi State, and LSU to finish the season, though, they definitely need to be boosted in the rankings. The fact that the current 7-9 teams play each other doesn't hurt, nor does the schedule of the #10 team.
  14. Miami isn't nearly as bad as their record. They've been playing horribly, but they've been in every game, regardless of the competition. This was a major trap game, stupid media obsessions or otherwise.
  15. I prefer keeping Zambrano, Prior, and Aramis, and signing Iwamura for 2B/SS/CF while signing Matsuzaka to be the #2 starter.
  16. Yeah, that was pretty funny. Intentionally botching two kicks to run the clock down.
  17. New Coaches Poll is out. 1. Ohio State (63) 10-0 1,575 2. Michigan 10-0 1,502 3. Texas 9-1 1,397 4. Louisville 8-0 1,382 5. Auburn 9-1 1,309 6. Florida 8-1 1,255 7. USC 7-1 1,148 8. Notre Dame 8-1 1,079 9. California 8-1 1,048 10. West Virginia 7-1 994 11. Arkansas 8-1 946 12. LSU 7-2 925 13. Boise State 9-0 769 14. Rutgers 8-0 742 15. Tennessee 7-2 710 16. Wisconsin 9-1 685 17. Nebraska 7-3 107 OTHERS RECEIVING VOTES Clemson 75, Brigham Young 53, Hawaii 40, Oregon State 12, Tulsa 10, TCU 7, Missouri 5, Houston 4, Pittsburgh 1. DROPPED FROM RANKINGS Clemson 19, Missouri 25.
  18. Iwamura at 2B could be a steal, and he's likely to be relatively cheap, too. Plus he's Ramirez insurance. I'd be all over it.
  19. Wow. Marcus Monk, 8 catches, 192 yards. Crazy. Shame he dropped that one in the end zone that ended up getting intercepted. McFadden ran for 219. Two enormous performances. Losing Michael Grant to a knee injury is going to hurt bad, though, especially going up against a pass-happy Tennessee team next week. I'm more worried than I was originally.
  20. Big first down for the Hogs. A first down would probably end the game here.
