McFadden will be fine in a normal NFL offense, imo. I certainly have some questions about Slaton, but he's also a weapon in the passing game which is a good sign. McFadden managed 1100 yards last year in a standard set only, so I don't think he'll have problems running outside of the Wildcat.

LSU has probably one of the best wide receiver corps in the nation. I wouldn't doubt that one bit. LSU using a lot of misdirection and screens with pretty good effectiveness. Russell is gonna be a heck of an NFL QB.

Two very impressive plays for LSU...they can take the lead with the extra point here. I can't say I've ever seen a wide receiver lay out a linebacker like that.

They had to rely on that "Wildcat formation" to do it. If they continue to rely on that it will become an issue for ARK. LSU will figure it out. That gimmicky crap won't work the whole game. Sure, "had to rely" is a cute way to paint it in a negative light. That doesn't take the points off the board. And I seem to recall the big Jones run coming out of the standard set on the first offensive play.

I just want to say that SIU has the best scoreboard abbreviation of all time. SO ILL I would sign with them for that reason alone.

Arkansas takes care of Marist, 73-64. On to the finals. SIU and Minnesota to come in about 20 minutes.

I am overcome with excitement! Tomorrow's the big game--Arkansas/LSU. People started camping out and tailgating this afternoon. I will not be going downtown for any reason. And the basketball team is palying at 9:30AM in the Old Spice Classic, so I'll be in Hog Heaven for half the day tomorrow. Fun. My call: if Hillis and Parker are good to go, Razorbacks by 10. If not, pick 'em.

Cats, easily. I love dogs, but there are so many inconveniences to deal with regarding dogs--and believe me, I know, being a door to door salesman. I never have to worry about my cat keeping the neighbors up at 1 AM. I don't have to talk over cats to be heard. Cats don't jump up on me and cover me in saliva. I don't smell like cat all day after playing with one. I don't have to let the cat out to crap all the time. The list goes on and on.

Well, that'll pretty much do it. Hogs up 61-53 with 40 seconds left. 10 straight free throws drained for Arkansas won the game, as well as a strong post presence. Big win for Arkansas against a quality team. And I know absolutely nothing about Marist or Minnesota, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is the toughest game they play in the tournament.

The thing that excites me about Beverley is his defense. Hes's a heck of a shooter and a playmaker, but he really gets down on D. That's huge for this team. A lot of boards today, too. Missed free throws are killing the Hogs right now. Townes and Thomas are dominating.
