  1. Other things people don't care about: -- Sulley's multi-post whining about people not caring about what's posted in this thread
  2. :( :( Sorry raisin. Our one GT fan will be happy though. One? Who's the other?
  3. So, let's see...Billy Gillispie, Dana Altman, Jeff Grobe, Tommy Tuberville, Tommy Bowden...has Arkansas helped any other coaches get raises in the last year? I lose track.
  4. It'd be nice if the Petrino talk is legit, even if I have no idea how that situation would be coordinated.
  5. Wow at Texas Tech and their 42-1 run tonight.
  6. Sounds like it's a done deal. You guys got a good coach there. Although he's no spring chicken, I wouldn't have minded seeing him get a chance at the Michigan job. I love the hire. The first 2 years will be tough, as Nutt left the cupboard bare. I don't think it's fair to say he left the cupboard bare, but they're going to be losing a LOT of weapons. I'm wondering what kind of staff is coming. Reggie Herring is almost certainly gone, which makes me sad. Other than that, the other coaches I cared about left with Nutt for Ole Miss. Losing McFadden and Jones almost certainly, Monk, and then Hillis will hurt a lot. But a strong offensive line and some speed and talent in youngsters like Crosby Tuck, Ben Cleveland, and Michael Smith make me feel like the offense will be okay. I'm much more worried about the defense going forward immediately. The entire starting secondary is gone. Weston Dacus is gone. Marcus Harrison is gone. Here's hoping they get some good players in there quick. I think there's enough talent in the freshmen and sophomores to keep the down year to about a season, but Grobe's recruiting will definitely be tested. I wonder where his influence lies most.
  7. Look on the bright side. Marcus Monk hasn't been right all year after tearing some cartilage in his knee in preseason. ...though he will be getting a month off before that game, so who knows. How's your run D? It depends on the game. We've had some real strong performances, and some pretty bad ones. A lot of that can be dependent on our offense, because a lot of teams have had to abandon the run because they find themselves so far down. Sounds like Arkansas's D in general. I'm just hoping it ends like the basketball game did. :D

  9. That's beyond awesome. Do you quote his name with no furth elaboration, followed by several other people in your office? I wonder how soon he knew that his favorite team had a minor league him headed for the bigs.
  10. Hate I missed that game last night. Go Hogs.
  11. Considering pretty much all of that was discussed in Canseco's book, and that that's why some of those guys are supsected today, I'd say yes.
  12. speaking of mockery, can anybody explain why pwople who disagree wit advanced baseball statistics seem largely incapable of doing so without suggesting sabr supporters didn't play, never watch games, couldn't get picked in a pickup game, live in their mom's basement, can.t get a date, stay home on friday night, etc.?
  13. haveen't seen illinois play yet, but is mendenhall that good? this looks to be a very eep draft year for backs.
  14. co-SOO-kay FOO-coo-DOUGH-may I believe or maybe just "Fred" first name is buchered. it's just like daisuke. ko-skay foo-koo-doe-may. a least the stress is hard to bucher (like matsui, which most people say like matt-SOOie, when it should be more like MOT--swee.)
  15. a bit surprised arkansas didn't get more votes. kentucky got back in after their impressive performance saturday.
  16. no. i'm really encouraged by what i've seen from Andrew Bynum. His 14 and 13 in 22 minutes last night were great, but more than that i'm imprssed with how much his defense appears to have improved. also, his physique. he very clearly wore down last year. he looks less suceptible to that.
  17. so, get this. on another boad, people were discussing kobe trade possibilities and people couldn't figure out why i, as a laker fan, wanted mo part of ben wallace.
  18. back. I was afraid the Hogs would come from ahead to lose, but they held off SC, 48-36. McFadden threw a TD pass and rushed for 323. Jones was held to only 165. 600+ yards, 500+ on the ground. The Hogs are 6-3 with a big game at Tennessee next week.
  19. man, arkansas's defense looks fanastic. malcolm sheppard may end up being better than jamaal andrson. as i typed that, felix jones just went 71 yards for a td.
  20. mcfadden fmbled for a gain of 20. felix mf jones just busted a big tdrun on 2nd and 18.
  21. arkansas up 7-3 on south carolina. hogs are looking good, but the missed fg lost some momentum. it is very good to have marcus monk back.
  22. holy crap, i'm gonna watch a college football game today.
  23. d1-aa != d2
  24. Thing is, he's right.
  25. arkansas. returning all players from last year,s team. sec freshman of the year patrick beverley returns after a brilliant run in the under-19 tourney. seen senios make this a top-heavy class, and that,s a big reason the razorbacks are favored to win the sec east. the talent is certainly there; whether they make it that far depends on how much more pelphrey can get out of them than stan heath did.
