I've never known anyone to be in the first 400. How long did it take for you to actually buy tickets? Do you remember what time they processed your order? I was 575 away last year and I got in there at about 10:45ish. When I got to the counter, the Saturday Red Sox game had only singles left, but the rest had pairs. Bleachers were somewhat sparce for the big games as well. Honestly, this year I don't think nearly as many people are getting wristbands. Last year it was about 30 degrees when I went out at noon on the first day to get my wristband, and the line was all the way around the park. This year all reports I've gotten are waits of less then 10 minutes. I think since they distribute wristbands 00001-20000 randomly, I think if you are 4,000-5,000 away, you might have a shot at good tickets because not all the numbers inbetween will be taken. Its just my theory, but if you live in the area, as many know Cubs.com updates the number currently being called in the lottery, so you can sit home and wait until the right time to go down there. I completely agree. Wristbands are way down.
