Not shocked some of you people would rather the Cubs save a few hundred grand so Todd can find a way to funnel it Trumps re-election, rather than see a man's children have a better life after his ex-wive said she wants him to be able to play for that reason. I hope you guys don't get mad when he has to pay child support witch rolled up change he's saved. #FilthyAnimials

CJ having a rough go of it with SD. Gave up a par of runs last night and 4 more tonight. He got pulled with a reliever coming to hit, and the next guy gives up a hit to him for one of Edwards runners to score.

I hope he costs them tons of games going forward, but they are a way better team with him on the roster vs Knizner. Doesn't work that way. Yadi is going to start 90% of games. It does work that was. YM is better than a exposed MW and MW is better that the prospect they had backing up.

Iowa doesn't play that many games in Las Vegas, Reno, El Paso, Salt Lake or Albuquerque that are where most of the crazy offense in the PCL comes from. The teams they play the most are 16th, 15th, Iowa is 14th and 12th in the 16 team league in OPS, In Russell's time in Iowa he's played 3 games in those hitters parks. Happ had a 96 in his time and Iowa and how is that working out, also that number will go up for Russell after tonight.

Always hate wasting a off day between coming or going to St Louis or Milwaukee and having off days right before or after the All-Star break. Dislike how they handled our trips out West. They have us in finishing up a trip in LA on the 6th of May and then we have to go back to SD for one series a week later, then we go from SD to Pittsburgh. We get a off day to go to St Louis, but no off day to go from there to SF or from SF back home.

Hope you guys have the ignore feature on, because Russell stayed hot going 2-for-3 with a HR and walk tonight. OPS on the year in Iowa now at .943 and his OPS since his unwarranted demotion is up to 1.063. #BEST25

Unless that reason he was secretly almost 40 the entire time and it doesn't matter that he's 37 and broken now, then who gives a horsefeathers. How do you know he's still hurt? Are all our hurt guys going to be broken when they come back of the IL too, or is this just a SSS Cardinals thing?

I would rather they stuck with Wieters who has been exposed with a .609 OPS the last 3 weeks along with the other catcher having a .570 OPS. There is a reason why Yadi is a HOF catcher and nobody other than the Cardinals wanted Wieters this winter.

I'm sure they are more than happy to have him back as well, especially if he's healthy and starts to hit again. Even hurt Molina was better than their 3rd string guy and Wieters who was getting exposed catching everyday.

They could just DFA Tony Kemp like Houston did. Kemp is over 2 years older than Russell, a far less defender with a lower MLB OPS.

Look at you acting like it was some innocuous post that just happened to bring up how Russell has been doing. That's adorable. I can't control you guys get so worked up over him. He should have never been send down, and he's still hitting going back to Iowa. If a post showing how well he's playing bothers you guys so much just ignore the post and don't get so triggered over it. Letting minor thing get you so emotional like that is on you people.

Its not like he didn't have a .798 OPS in his 38 starts or a .835 OPS the last month in the majors or anything.

1. You guys are clearly triggered by Russell. One post about how well he's playing blows this thread up with you guys coming to be negative. 2. You are wrong about this as well. Playing good in Iowa will keep him on the Cubs at a lower contact, being in the majors would get him out of the organization since his arbitration number would be higher.

He's younger than league average hitter by 16 months, His .891 OPS in Iowa is better than league average by .056 points and .108 better than the Iowa average since they don't play as many games in the extreme hitters parks of the league.
