  1. I'll save my excitement for the Glenallen Hill signing. If that happens, I'm reserving my rooftop seats!
  2. Williams gave up 4 as well...had it not been for the walks, it would have been a great outing by him.
  3. Oops...I picked the wrong post to overlook...
  4. Erickson makes the last out... CUBS WIN!!! CUBS WIN!!!
  5. Howry pitching to Daigle, 2 outs, no one on in the 9th... AZ got another run somehow in the 9th...
  6. Just because he was optioned to AAA, doesn't mean he can't still pitch in major league spring training. it does, however, make little sense. mlb.com's scoreboard has Howry pitching the 9th...
  7. It's going to be real interesting to see who stays and who goes if/when they have Wood, Prior, AND Maddux back all at the same time. I'd never wish a player got hurt, but let's just say I wouldn't be upset if Rusch pulled a hammy and went on the DL, making the decisions a little easier for Hendry.
  8. Wade Miller is the 27th, neither reasigned to minor league camp or DL'd officially yet, he is technically still on the team. Ahhh...so that means the roster is pretty much set, except for the last spot between Marshall and Koronka...
  9. The Cub's official website shows 26 guys still on the active roster...anyone know where the mistake is? I'm pretty sure it's still 27.
  10. Why? That's what their name was originally. When was that? I thought they were always the California Angels before they changed to Anaheim from the franchise conception. Were they the LA Angels before that? Yep. LA > California > Anaheim > LA I'll be. That must have been before I was old enough to follow baseball.
  11. Why? That's what their name was originally. When was that? I thought they were always the California Angels before they changed to Anaheim from the franchise conception. Were they the LA Angels before that?
  12. I'll one-up you. I'll do it if everyone pays 90% of my way :D
  13. There's no TV or radio for this particular game. Things are different during the regular season. Good, I was getting worried for a second...
  14. Anyone else here get MLBTV? I just purchased it, thinking I could get the Cubs game, but it isn't offered today. I'm not in a blackout area either. I thought you could get all non-blackout games? I'm a little PO'd.
  15. Now it's 2 hits through 3 scoreless innings. Sounds like Marshall being named the #4 has got Williams focused and fired up...
  16. But then they are apparantly willing to leave open an enormous hole, that of a right handed bat with any sort of ability to produce, while overlapping roles with other guys. I would have liked to have seen Sing make the roster. His spring was at least as good as Theriots.
  17. I was thinking more along the lines of "I have three straws in my hand. Each of you will draw one..." I bet Dusty wishes they had a 3 sided coin. :D
  18. Things are looking a little better for Marshall... http://www.dailyherald.com/sports/cubs.asp?id=172287
  19. I'm sure this has been mentioned umpteen times on this board, but Bill James and his wild statistical formulas took all the factors into consideration and says that this was the single most dominating pitching performance in the history of baseball. Not that I doubt you but where did you read this? Also the Gaetti fan club loves NSBB! http://www.stathead.com/bbeng/woolner/statglossary.htm Bill James' Game Score formula measures pitcher dominance in a particular game: 1. Start with 50 points 2. Add 1 point for every out (3 points = 1 IP) 3. Add 2 points for each inning completed after the 4th 4. Add 1 point for every strikeout 5. Subtract 2 points for each hit allowed 6. Subtract 4 for each earned run allowed 7. Subtract 2 for each unearned run allowed 8. Subtract 1 for each walk The top game score in the history of baseball is Kerry's 20k game with a score of 105. What's the second best game, and how far behind was it?
  20. The Dodgers can keep their ridiculous contract.Maybe the idiots Colletti and Bowden can get together on a trade?
  21. What do the Pirates have to sell? Bay :D
  22. This is the same guy that traded BWilk and Sledge for Soriano.
  23. I've got another honorable mention: Glenallen Hill, for hitting a homer onto the rooftops across the street!
  24. I hope everyone calls him Mr. Lee. I kind of like Mr. MVP better. I hope everyone calls him that starting next offseason.
