Bears do have the former Saints OC now... Kromer was the O-Line coach and served as interim HC at the beginning of the season, he was never the OC (although the point still stands). -

I don't think the D'backs are any closer to playoff aspirations this year than the Cubs are. Just another dumb acquisition by Towers I think he's saying from a Cubs POV, going for younger players could net higher reward. Not necessarily saying that the DBacks were right to make the trade.

I thought about that yestaurday and looking into Trestman's past, two names I found were Mike Waufle and Glenn Pires. Waufle is the D-line coach of the Rams and was with the Raiders in 2001-03, and Pires is the LB coach with the Falcons and was with the Cards in 98-00 and the Dolphins in 04, when Trestman was there. I would prefer them promoting Hoke vs. hiring on of those two. -
