  1. That's more than likely the game winner. Only 20 minutes to go.
  2. When exactly was he solid? Ortiz' adjusted ERA: 1998 81 1999 108 2000 85 2001 122 2002 105 2003 109 2004 104 2005 64 For a career ERA+ of 98. He used to be ok despite his high walk rates, but the wheels are off the cart now. He'll serve as a pallbearer at Baker's managerial funeral unless the even dumber Orioles save Hendry from himself. Ortiz had success (a little) with the Braves a couple years ago, so the O's may be hoping for a return...
  3. I have to leave to visit my uncle for a bit before going to a Keys game, but I really want to see this end.
  4. He actually did mention that he had to stop running as much because he was starting to lose to much weight, and wasn't able to lift with his wrist being messed up.
  5. Only from World Cup play. He will still play for Manchester City and wants to spend a year in the MLS.
  6. I think that Hendry could be a pretty good commish, and it would be better for us since I believe we wouldn't have to buy him out, and we would get and new GM.
  7. So far, nothing. They are playing the AL.
  8. Nieve just walked Liriano...
  9. From the sound of it, the fans who are at the games are fans that really know the game.
  10. In honor of all the teams that have flopped: http://content.ytmnd.com/content/c/f/a/cfaac5aecb61112839b627a44c501738.gif
  11. I think it will end up hurting the Cards because of the nature of the injury. There is a good chance that, by rushing him back like this, AP could very easily get hurt again. And hey, look, I can do the roll eyes as well:      so bite me.
  12. How quickly interest in the Cubs has faded. In the 1st game of this month, we had the 2nd-longest game thread of the year behind only Opening Day. Then again, that was also the night of the memorable "OMC posting wasted" incident. For those who don't know. Old Miss Cub was drunk. Thank you. (took my awhile to figure out that OMC) It was also the game the Cubs won 5-4 in 14 innings. This game didn't even make it to 9.
  13. According to Sportscenter, he is. and according to MLB.com he is. I personally think this will end up hurting the Cards.
  14. I'm confused... What just happened?
  15. Ronaldo has finally shown up.
  16. One of the 3 pitches the Giants traded to the Twins for AJ Perwhatever. Nathan and Liriano were the other two. Talk about getting ripped.
  17. Cubs lose 3-0. Santana throws a no-no Prior gives up no hits in 8 2/3 but then his arm explodes after throwing 135 pitches... Mauer hits a 3 run jack off of Howry as his arm falls off.
  18. I think it's gotta be. Who do you want replacing him? The dancing bear.
  19. The US is out! The US is out! http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/8088/breakdancingbear1xl.gif
  20. Just slap Slappy: http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_334393.jpg
  21. If we get Crawford and Cabrera, there is a good chance we don't have Marshall and Marmol.
  22. And West would where WS stuff, simply for the black and white and for them winning the WS.
