  1. Theyll probably start the season on a HR tear hitting one in a bunch of consecutive games 😅
  2. I didn't say he was supposed to make them forget Santo. I just remember the local sports media at the time and even Harry and Stone were all excited with him in 96 and 97 when he was in minors and his rookie year and they kept mentioning him as the kid who can finally be the one to take over 3B cause they haven't had a set 3Bmen since Santo.. He was supposed to be their long awaited answer to 3B
  3. Orie was supposed to be "the guy" at third that the cubs finally had long term there since Santo
  4. Cubs can have a pretty good bench this season along with position depth with players in AAA/AA. If Busch(1B) and Morel(3B) can produce all season without going into any longggg slumps, itll be huge for the offense. Bench... Amaya Mastrobuoni Mervis/Dom Smith Wisdom Tauchman Also, with all the OF talent in AA and AAA, itll be interesting to see what they'll do as far as promotions and trades during the season.
  5. The potential this team can have this season and next with some of these kids is pretty exciting, and they still have quite a few in the lower levels that are talented.
  6. He was running on the pitch, but not sure how he didn't look back or at his coach to see that it was in the air and foul.
  7. If the cubs do add another bat, I hope it's JD Martinez.
  8. I hope Bote makes an mlb team this season
  9. Joe Hudson says Hello.. Lol
  10. He has a few walks
  11. Nah, I should of mentioned too that he first looked to throw to 2B to get the force there and he probably just tried to rush getting ball to hand
  12. He backhanded a ball and bobbled it on the exchange
  13. No chance ... He'll get plenty of ABs and will learn more under Gomes
  14. Smily blows, I hope he's next to go away
  15. Cubs are 0 and 2 and has been outscored 13 to 0 since the return of Bellinger 😅😆
  16. That what Cots shows 🤷‍♂️
  17. Theyre 6 mil under the Tax Threshold, I could see them moving Wisdom and maybe Madrigal to give themselves a little more flexibility.
  18. I think he going to get plenty of opportunities this spring to get it done.
  19. One thing I definitely like is that if they are looking like serious WS contenders by the deadline and there a top player or two that can help put them over, they will have plenty of prospects depth to make a big trade.
  20. I think the Cubs are done with adding bats now that Bellinger is back. If they add any more players I think it will be a LH bullpen pitcher
  21. Basically we're looking at Amaya, Busch, and Morel being the unknown of the lineup with the DH spot. Those guys need to be somewhat productive to help out the others in the lineup. Gomes/Amaya Busch Hoerner Swanson Morel Happ Bellinger Suzuki Wisdom RH DH Mervis/Smith/Peralta LH DH Mastrobuoni Tauchman
  22. Bellinger and Cubs 3 yrs 80 mil, opt out after first 2 years Glad he's back, Hoyer won this standoff, another short term deal with Cody likely opting out if he has another good season. Just very surprised no other team would at least offer more years
  23. Cactus League Champions isnt just nothing 😏😏
  24. Probably right, he might even be a trade asset at some point.
