I was worried about getting through the 7th and 8th with Maddon using up Delarosa Chavez and Chisek in the 5th and 6th.. Noone reliable left to get to Strop now Bats need to pick up the pen here and score a couple

Yup, Murphys offense is probably equal to Russels offense at this point, and Addi gets you +++++ defensive infield I mean sure, if Murphy is gonna continue to be a 99 OPS+ guy like he has been the last couple of weeks, sure. I would anticipate that he's going to break out of this slump, though. I'd rather have Murphy get you 3 AB's, and then hopefully you have a lead where you can pull him for Russell in the 7th inning or so. Russell has just been so bad at the plate that I don't think anything is going to fix him this year. Why Maddon has to get Russell ABs , to see if he can get it going.. Also, he probably would want Russell hitting against lefties over Murphy
