  1. Man horsefeathers it Get Cahill back. Slightly damaged goods, maybe we get a discount. Tons of strikeouts and grounders. Plenty versatile.
  2. Red Sox pitchers struck out 20 Rangers today. 4 hitters Kd 3+ times. Gallo was oddly not among them. And the Dodgers just jocked us with their own 4 inning save. The pens will be ready to go in the upcoming series.
  3. Yeah it didn't feel like it was too long ago. I'm sure he'll pick it back up. Everybody has 1-20s
  4. Good stuff. The Cardinals have discussed moving Dex out of the leadoff spot.
  5. Giolito threw a 7 inning no hitter against the Nats affiliate
  6. Not really avoiding with 4 hits in those two innings, no? Martinez is 2-2 too Tseng with a quality outing so far - 4 IP, 5 Ks, 1 BB, 2 Hs...50 IP, 40 Ks, 8 BBs, 4 HRs, 4 Hs this season. All hands on deck for trade season! It was tongue in cheek
  7. Oscar avoiding contact 74% strikes, 5:0 in the first 2 innings
  8. 141-21 seems like a safe bet now
  9. I disagree with letting him face a lefty after already striking out thrice
  10. a lot of them have multiple songs, most notoriously rizzo and yes, "benny and the jules" somehow makes me long for his old terrible dance song by his wife, "alive" They do but Heyward adds new ones most often. That latest song is just starting to hit now.
  11. His KBB is beautiful. I want us to buy him. 200 innings. Pumping 97 with his 100th pitch.
  12. I like that Heyward changes up his music. Zobrist should take note.
  13. I was thinking the same. How crazy would that be. But it's totally possible. How much of a sample do we need these days? I see UZR/150 being cited after a couple hundred innings and I always thought you needed way more than that.
  14. That's true...I forgot he was actually pretty decent the 2nd half of last year when no one was paying attention. I still think White has the highest ceiling for a #1. He's only played 4 NFL games, so hopefully he can stay on the field and show us something. I'm not sure he still has that ceiling. You don't miss that much time to multiple injuries without it actually knocking down a significant portion of your ability. He has missed a ton of reps and the mental game is way behind the already-stunted physical development. I could see a year similar to Meredith last year but that's definitely in the high range of possibilities. Probably something like 50 catches and 700 yards.
