7th FWIW What stands out to me here, is that Nagy must have felt Meredith wasn't irreplaceable. I have to think he would have made his voice heard here and had Pace bring him back. It was just a poor gamble on Pace's behalf. Poor gamble? He chose not to sign him. It wasn't a gamble. I think not tendering him for a 2nd rounder was a mistake -
Maybe I didn't give Jarlin Garcia the credit he deserves when he shut us out for 6 innings in long relief. He just threw 6 no hit innings against the Mets in his 1st career start. Mattingly pulled him after 77 pitches, after saying before the game that, perhaps he would throw as many as 90, or more, depending on the circumstance.

They (pace) took him #4 pick overall. How is his potential weird?? just because he had potential in 2015 doesn't mean he has much of it left now even when he's been healthy he has looked entirely unimpressive on the field...and i don't just mean numbers. he doesn't flash anything. White is lost money either way, but he is additional lost cap too by doing anything other than keeping him on the roster for now. Basically he's around by default until he gets outplayed by 53 other guys. Maybe they're super confident in his health, but even healthy that would be dumb. So... maybe just wishful thinking again on my part, but he's just a weird spaceholder to me. They (pace) took him #4 pick overall. I don't like the way Pace played this (at all) but I have no issue with Cohen at WR. He runs great routes, possibly has the best hands on the team, is amazing in space, and I'd rather pair someone else with Howard in the backfield. I think he will play the Tyreek Hill role to a T. -

I don't like being such an horsefeathers but I LOLd at this thought pretty hard. I can understand trading down and getting McGlinchey but I would be truly sick if we took him at 8. -
So far, I would not blame luck, for the suckitude when we have RISP. And I would get Happ the horsefeathers out of the leadoff spot.

I'd like Zagunis to get a look -
Team contact is 80% and they have the lowest K rate at 15%, with a healthy 10% walk rate. They have several hitters playing over their heads right now but putting that many balls in play puts a lot of pressure on the defense. They've had a heck of a start to the season offensively. If they can keep up that kind of BBK they should be pretty dangerous to face. The team offensive leaderboard is like the upside down right now. None of the top 5 were in the top 10 last year (Braves, Pirates, CWS were no better than 19th) and only 3 in the top 10 were top 10 last year.

For as critical as I have been toward KB, it is only because I hold him to absurd standards. He will absolutely put up a 3/4/6 slash line in his prime, I believe. I will be beside myself if he ever plays for another team.
