I mean, he’s been all over the place all season. If he can’t be trusted to come into a high leverage situation without major control issues, he’s going to be treated like just another guy. For his career he has a 5.27 FIP in high leverage. It's actually amazing that Joe keeps pushing that square peg in where he doesnt fit. Several stats take a severe nosedive in HLS with Carl. Just a quick example L/M/H KBB - 3.03/2.40/1.59 HR/9 - .71/.53/1.48 K% - 34/35.4/26.7 LOB% - 93.0/73.8/35.9 FIP - 2.86/3.0/5.27 And of course he needed to be bailed out by Montgomery in G7. Couldnt even be trusted to get Michael Martinez out.

I've never looked at a players fg page under pitch type and seen XX for unknown pitch. But that must be it. That pitch is horsefeathering dirty. Props to the Rays for giving the 32 year old a chance and having him let it rip. -

I believe 10 games over is our high watermark and we've hit it twice, only to go on a pretty big slump almost immediately after. Hopefully the 2nd half Super Cubs are truly in effect and we're not just riding a high beating weak teams. -
At least find a team to take Descalso so we can get Happ up and have more CF options so that we can keep our elite RF where he belongs

Bote is miserable to watch. Both at the plate and in the field. A demotion might help him loosen up and get back on track.

Throw went to 3rd and Bote held the tag hoping he came off the bag. Tatis took off while the attention was elsewhere.

We are last in zone contact and 5th worst in swings per meatball. Those are huge problems that need addressing.

Yeah, another one that totally flipped from last year. I assume it's just randomness, but still very odd/frustrating. Our guys are extremely slow at identifying adjustments by opponents and adjusting.
