That would be under Jaramillo's direction I suppose. His philosophy was basically be aggressive, put it in play if it's in the zone. Murton was exciting to me when he came up because we hadn't had a position player come up and be successful since Patterson, and he actually had a disciplined approach. I can see those 2 clashing a bit. If they hadn't messed with him, maybe he would've been more successful under Gerald Perry, who was about working counts, letting the pitch get deep and going oppo more often. It's unfortunate that when our offense became elite in 2008 he wasn't a big part of it. It feels like Murton's original approach would've fit that squad really well.
