  1. I'm thinking Jed is gonna wait this out and I'm not sure how long Robertson will play along.
  2. I wonder if Flaherty could be had for like 2/40 that turns into 2/50 if he pitches like 150 innings in 2025. By the way he has spoken he has had no market. I'm predicting he takes an incentive laden deal.
  3. Bregman or Flaherty would be sweet. Swing big.
  4. Really should have signed Saquon. We probably would have snuck into the playoffs. Those talents, not completely broken, usually don't hit FA. Eagles set themselves up for a dominant 5 year run.
  5. That's because he was racking up 250 innings a year. Was he top 10 in K9 or K%? Its pretty crazy looking at Maddux stats, how his BB% absolutely plummeted once he got with Mazzone. I feel plenty comfortable with Steele fronting the rotation for the next few years. He has pitched like an Ace should.
  6. They've basically drafted 3 usable players in the last decade. Some teams pretty regularly find 3 usable players in a single draft. We load up on guys with minimal actual basketball skill.
  7. I figured the return would be better than Canario or Keegan. This is a great trade. Please get Robertson now.
  8. Must. Have. Veterans. At . Every. Position.
  9. Surprised we've gotten no wind on the return
  10. What in the horsefeathers.
  11. Am I reading the situation right? It sounds like he wants to stay in the middle of the country somewhere and will not go east or west. The mystery team is in one of the central divisions.
  12. If this happens I imagine they would trade Nico to SEA, no? This would really block Shaw, unless they are just trying to pull a Bellinger again and rent him for a year or something.
  13. Wouldn't be surprised if the Reds are in on it. They're supposedly competition for Estevez as well.
  14. Yeah I really like Pressly, I'd be down for this. I think he's a good fit. I'm a little susprised they weren't able to expand the Tucker deal to include him. It wasn't exactly a secret that he was available.
  15. I could not be more bored with every post-Tucker transaction.
  16. Just read the article that basically said Ohtani led the push hard for L.A. They pulled out all the stops and appealed to his senses in several ways. Why rent out the biggest sushi restaurant in town (like TOR did for Ohtani) when you can just have a minority owner open his mansion and hire the best sushi chefs? Magic Johnson lives and breathes L.A. in a way the GOAT never does for Chicago. He got in on the recruiting. The team has made the postseason for a decade straight, are the defending champs, have 2 of the most prominent legends from the NPB already, a massive Japanese-American population, has the best development system in the league, has unlimited resources and 100% willingness from the owners to do whatever it takes to keep getting better. It was pretty much a foregone conclusion.
  17. Go super hard in FA. I mean spend it all. Besides the guys chasing rings we should be the prime destination to every FA. Plug every damn hole you can.
  18. How do you not pivot right to Yates after losing Scott. Is our interest level not as high becuase he's RH?
  19. Jed could have landed those guys and instead chose the quantity approach. I am so annoyed.
  20. My comment was criticizing Caleb, not Daniel's. His comp% was only ok for a rookie because he lived in the 0-10 yard range. Anything beyond that he was historically inaccurate.
  21. Under 10 yards, sure.
